Took a few minutes to be seated but not the end of the world our server and host where very friendly with prompt service , water always topped up and checked to see if everything was satisfactory, our meal was delicious my son inhaled his Kobe burger and my steak was cooked perfectly, would definitely return!! Had breakfast in the lounge this morning 1st time since I've been here in 2 weeks my drink order was taken immediately followed by my delicious meal which was done perfectly, the young lady who was working, sorry I didn't catch her name did an excellent job and a big smile to go with it !! $10.99 for steak and eggs for hotel guests before 11AM can't beat that !! Consistantly good meals been here for over 2 weeks and 1 of my favorite places to eat, breakfast, lunch and dinner, best lounge around hands down

Our server, Joy, was very compentant and accommodating. When faced with a surprise group of 50 people, she very easily managed all the orders ( despite the kids being mixed together even though they belongs to different families). The food acne quickly and was hot.

Enjoyed dinner at the Sawmill. Wonderful service delicious fish & chips and inviting atmosphere. We will visit again!

I never cook steak like this, tender, delicious, exactly cooked as i ask.

We were there with a large party and had good service and food. They have warm lighting that makes the atmosphere is really nice. The menu is reduced since Covid but has a good selection. I had the chicken cordon bleu and it was great.

My family and I had a excellent time and the food was wonderful!

What a fantastic experience! I had the beef dip with added cheese and a Caesar salad for supper and it was bursting with flavour, and just the right portion size. The price was fantastic and the server was SO good. I also had breakfast there (I was a hotel guest at the Best Western) and the bacon tasted like it was purchased from a high end butcher, the eggs and toast were perfect and again, the service was fantastic.

I've been here many times with friends (weekender bikes trip) as we ALWAYS stay at the hotel (it's inside the Cold Lake Best Western) and ALWAYS eat, have a few drinks, and perhaps watch a game in the sports bar area, where we always end up. The menu is comparable with restaurants in the "big city" and the beer selection (tap) is pretty good, with a couple of craft offerings along with the usual corporate stuff.

If you happen to be up in North East Alberta, I would thoroughly recommend.

The two waitresses that were on were absolutely fabulous and allowed us to stay extra long to chat because we had not seen each other in months. I love the way they have combined the two eating areas into one with a combined menu.

We have eaten here a few times in the past, the last time was absolutely terrible but we decided to try it again. It couldn't have possibly gotten worse.

The experience this time could not have been better!

Food was hot and fresh, meat was tender, salad actually had some dressing on it, weren't out of stock on what we wanted to order... the list goes on...

Plus, this all happened while the place is under renovation!

Additional plus... the staff were all friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and very accommodating.

I would definitely suggest eating here when you get the chance.

Amazing. No other way to put it. Food was great, staff was phenomenal. We had 3 different people come up and ask how our food was, if there was anything else they could get us or just to clear our plates. I definitely recommend eating here. Can't say enough good things about our experience last night, (sept 27th 2020). After spending a weekend in the city, it was nice to enjoy a good meal as our food/service in the city was horrible.

I ate steaks from Sawmill many time before, this is the only place served me with their Sawmill steak sauce. It was so good. Why didn't other places served me the same. What the heck? But the best is that it's located right at the hotel. You can enjoy beers and never worry driving back to the hotel after work.

everything we ordered were amazing!!! calamari was crispy on the outside, tender squid, their bacon wrapped scallops was a delight!!!
one meal i had the "for the undecided", it was a big meal but finished all the meat because it was that good!! their garlic red skin (i think is what its called) mashed potato, heaven!!!

Our server was Christine, she was FABULOUS! Haven't had that good and professional service in a long time. The food was good and the beer was cold, nothing more to ask for, and she still went above and beyond ! Thank you!

I just had the steak and lobster, Cuban lobster for $29 that and the service is exceptional. Dining at multiple restaurants across the country it be hard to compare. If you find yourself in Cold Lake Alberta definitely try this place.

Literally the best steak Ive eaten in my life. The fat was marbled in to steak so well it melted in your mouth. Ive eaten alot of steak and potatoes in my day and this is now what I will compare all other meals going forward too. 5 stars cant recommend higher.

Took our daughter out for her birthday supper and the staff were amazing and friendly, food was delicious and very nice atmosphere.

Service was great! Food was good to the last bite! The steak was cooked perfectly, the best I've had in restaurants in a while.

The Sawmill appears to understand the hardships that hard working Albertans are facing right now. Their new weekend breakfast menu offers excellent full course breakfasts at reduced rates! I highly recommend returning the favour and supporting the Sawmill Prime Rib & steak House!
