Picante Cafe

Was on a work trip hoping to find some great food. By far the best food I had the whole time! They were very accommodating since I walked in with no reservation. The prices were also very reasonable for the quality of food! Would for sure recommend this restaurant, and will for sure be back on my next visit. I also enjoyed they had quality vegetarian menu items.

Absolutely perfect food and perfect service. 100% recommendations. We went for our three year anniversary and everything was perfect. Will try and come back during the summer months to enjoy the patio and the views!

We were seated immediately, even without a reservation. Perhaps Wednesday isn't a big evening, but it was our Anniversary.
The food was amazing and the portions were HUGE!

Amazing food, service and a gorgeous little cafe with a great atmosphere!

Delicious food with a very friendly and helpful staff that made the time there very enjoyable and comfortable in a nice relaxed atmosphere. Hats off to everyone that works there and the chef is amazing. Reasonable prices for 5 star food and good size portions. Definitely a must.

I seriously underestimated the portion size. My wife and I could have easily shared one plate and would still be full. The food takes awhile to be served, but you can't rush perfection. Plating is beautiful, food tastes amazing.

The only proper high quality, high end diner in town. No better choice the food is always impeccable and the menu is never boring. With constant updates to the refreshing menu there's always something new and delightful. Diligent, honest and dedicated staff have mastered the mid dine check up and always pleasant to talk to. Seating is limited but offers a variety of seating environments to accommodate all persons.

Wonderful dining. The appetizers were amazing as well as the main dishes. Had muscles, mushrooms for apps and then salmon for the main course. Better than anything I’ve found so far in Edmonton. If I could give it more ⭐s I would. And very lovely waitstaff.

Wonderful, high quality, worthy dining establishment in a small town location. Amazing location with a wonderful view of the lake and cozy ambiance interior with great and attentive customer service. Although it might seems pricey but you get very good portions unlike many high-price city restaurants where you do not get filled. Worth multiple visits since the menu does change. Both my kids (5 and 9 years old) both said their food was very good; I loved my salmon with blueberry risotto and my husband's pork rib dish was flavourful and plenty; he had at least 6 ribs.

Very quaint Cafe with very friendly helpful staff. The restraunt was very clean and had beautiful view of Cold Lake. A diverse menu with many excellent options. Easily were able adapt the Shrimp Scampi for my gluten free needs as a celiac. The mussels were fabulous as well.

Delicious tapas and really good portions for the mains! Great drinks as well! I would love to visit again in the summer and enjoy the patio!

Fantastic lunch on the patio overlooking the lake. Might be the best salmon I have ever tasted. So good.

Incredible full flavored dishes. Food was hot throughout the meal we sat on the patio and our food never got cold even though it was a little breezy out. This said a lot to me that the chef took into account that our food would cool much faster. Highly recommend. Great service.

Have been to Picante Cafe a couple of time and the food has always been great. The staff are very friendly and are knowledgeable about all the food they serve.

Always a wonderful experience eating in the restaurant or with their takeout. The deserts are some of the most amazing creations, you will not be disappointed.!
