Absolutely must to visit place in Quebec city especially for free. And not many people knows. There is a guide tour available for both English and French. In winter it also has free coat check. If you want to learn French Canadian history this is the place you don’t want to miss. The blue chamber is astonishing architecture.

If you are lucky, you can actually visit and see how the parliament work in action. This is one of the most open and transparent government in the world. You can have a self guided visit for FREE, but you do HAVE TO REGISTER IN ADVANCE. The interior is beautiful. And you can even eat at the restaurant or cafeteria inside the parliament.

We really enjoyed touring the Parliament building. We were able to walk in without a reservation and all we had to do was show our ID and we were able to do a free self guided tour. I enjoyed learning and being able to explore the building and have access to view the rooms where important decisions are made. I would highly recommend checking out the inside as well as walking around the outside of the building as well. They do a great job with the upkeep and landscaping. It’s a beautiful building and a wonderful free activity to do while in Quebec.

Everyone is so kind and welcoming.
Can't believe this is an ongoing running office building, and you open your arm and welcome us to visit.
It's gorgeous and beautiful.
Do remember to reserve your visit on line.
The restaurant here looks amazing, I wish I knew earlier so I can have my brunch here.

This is an amazing piece of architecture and a must see in Quebec. The tour is free and if you choose “self-guided” there are informative guide booklets in French and English.

Wish I could add more pictures as there’s so much to share. The garden is amazing. Just walking through here is awesome as there’s so much history to be seen. You can make reservations ahead of time or just do a self-guided tour which is what we did, with no advance planning. It’s a gorgeous building and everyone was so wonderfully pleasant.

The self guided tour which was available in English was informative and engaging. The architecture is incredible, and the interview video displays (also available in English) were excellent. Cool to see the old and the new. A self guided booklet was well done. And free!!
Gardens outside are lovely as well.

We made our reservation on-line for the self-guided tour. You need to go through the security check and registration to get in. A named badge will be created for and needed to carry all the time when you touring the parlement building. Very beautiful building. Staff are very nice and polite to provide information. Some meeting area/office are open for public so you can see how the meeting are proceeded. Very interesting. Highly recommend to visit there when you travel to Quebec.

Absolutely loved my visit. It was a Tuesday morning and it was quite empty. You need an ID to get in.
I wasn’t planning to visit but when I went to the tourism information office to ask about Montmorency Falls and they guide told me to visit the parliament.
Extremely interesting and they provide guides, iPads and even Wi-Fi so u can use ur smartphone on a self tour.
Ah they also provide guided tours (which I’m almost sure it is also free) but I didn’t want to wait for 1 hour hence I did a self guided tour.

The parliament building is beautiful and the grandeur of it is awe-inspiring. There is plenty to observe and look at from the architecture and the statues of previous government figures. The grounds are also spectacular, with gorgeous gardens that are very well maintained. There is no cost to visit, so it is certainly worth a visit if you are already in the area. Even if you aren't a gardener, I think most people will appreciate the beauty of these gardens and find some enjoyment in exploring them all.

When I visited, it was already late, so the building was closed, but entry to the building is otherwise normally free, so you can explore inside as well, which would also be a great educational experience for the kids.

Not sure how well known this is, but there is also an extensive vegetable garden that visitors can freely use. My kids were very excited about that part and we took home a few things to enjoy with our dinner that evening.

The parliament buliding in Quebec is beautiful - inside and outside!! I didn't get to see much of it outside, but the building's architecture is beautiful and there's a great garden + a water fountain in front of the building. Inside, the architecture is so beautiful too!! It's definitely a must visit and it's amazing for families. Even though visitors are only permitted to see certain areas, there's still so many breathtaking places inside - it's definitely worth it!!

For the free tour, this is pretty good option, especially if you have kids and don’t want to roam around in the sun. The place is super clean and is very well maintained (of course) and has some really beautiful rooms to look at. The entry and the overall experience is very seamless. Would recommend it if you are a tourist and visiting Quebec.

Please note that a valid identity card issued by the government is necessary to ensure safety and security.

Super good experience.

It's a very interesting place, very well conserved and super clean of course, many interesting points if you like architecture, history or you are just visiting for fun.

You can have a free tour for an hour also and many options for it, just be sure to get your passport with you to get it.

Hey look at the photo, looks like the Parliament installed a solar light bulb 😎
The last time I was here was back in spring 2019 when most of the things were still covered in ice and snow. The fountain was all wrapped up for winter as well.
I was lucky that the weather was so nice with blue sky and a few white clouds as the background.
The Parliament building is beautiful and the sculptures on the building are very interesting as well.

Incredible building and property. There were guided tours available when we were there in both official languages. Guide / staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The history is amazing as are the grounds, architecture, monuments and displays. Well worth taking some time to explore versus walking past.

What a beautiful building - inside and out! It is incredible that the Quebec government allows visitors to visit the museums and spaces inside for free and allows photography as well. The highlights of the parliament building were the library and, of course, the Blue Room of the National Assembly. Be sure to bring a government-issued Photo ID or else you will not be allowed inside! I was forced to go back to my hotel room to get my passport...

The building is very nice from the outside and the inside. In the summer is full of flowers and they have free guided tours in French and English, the tour consists of an hour. I highly recommended it.

Not seeing this building from the inside, I was so impressed with the outside that I have NO problem offering 5*. Kudos to you Quebec City for keeping your history and for displaying it proudly. Loved seeing James Wolfe among the statues, even though he died in battle taking the plains of Abraham.

From the colouration, the décor and the architecture, this building continue to impress still in pictures.

The grounds keep and amazing garden, we’ll cultivated and manicured and the fountain is beautiful. A great testament to a great city. I loved QC and as a man of British ancestry, I would live here proudly in a heartbeat.
