Surrey Libraries - Semiahmoo Branch

This library having so eye catching activities aids for kids of all ages they were having a story time when we visited there, and my son liked the fire truck model inside the library. I was so impressed with the big chess replica. You can play chess game there and books were so amazing we picked 10 books for our kids and all the books were so very informative. Staff is so cooperative ! Must visit the library !

Great Library, now doubles as a homeless shelter? (Not sure why people without anywhere safe to sleep). Smell (yes) but I never said a word any times, seeing people sleeping on floor. Anyway controversial topic, will leave previous words ... great Library and always a great place to do some reading or computer work. Not as quiet as I would have liked. This building has a living wall outside, with plants and ever greens, on the building, south side. The library is on the second floor and RCMP offices on the first floor.

The library contains many science and technology books, language development books, magazines etc., There are individual and group meeting rooms for focused studies and meetings. It’s having good Wi-Fi connectivity too.

I have been coming here since it opened years ago for the comics, movies and great selections of magazines and books that I actually enjoy reading, from arts & crafts, lifestyle to entertainment to sport. There’s decent number of computers for use, internet and intranet and rooms for quiet reading and where students review their lessons. There’s a kid section, as well as adults’. It’s a perfect place to read, rest or to simply pass the time away :-)

I've only been there once, but one employee was so nice, polite and emotionally intelligent that I wanted to give it 5 stars just because of her!

Love this branch as staff members are very kind, intellectual, helpful and respectful. My little kiddos also love to go there. I am very glad that such a great library exists in the hood. The only thing to complain is about the tight parking spots... But still worth it! Thank you for the amazing service :)

This is a great library! Bright open lots of seating and study space. There are times that it is very busy, usually around 3-6pm during the school months. Later evening or mornings are much quieter and there is more space.

Staff friendly and helpful. Physical selection isn't great but they showed me how to use the Libby app and that's been awesome. I primarily visit this library for the printing availability as buying ink is not sustainable for me because it dries up. 10c a page for black and white or 20c a page for colour. Also can copy documents. Good system.

There is a baby section, teen, and of course, adults. Resources for languages can be improved upon

Wonderful place, especially the children’s section which has been a huge source of inspiration for my young developing reader.

My favourite library I have ever been to. Used to spend hours here when I was growing up, my mom used to let me take the bus there by myself when I was a kid and it always felt like my second home. Such a cozy building and always super organized. It’s the perfect place to visit on a grey or rainy day

This library has an excellent selection of books for adults and children, as well as an extensive collection of blu-rays and dvds. The staff are very friendly and are always pleased to offer their assistance. And in the Children's section is the most adorable fire engine with shelving for books! I also always admire the living plant wall on the outside of the building every time I drive or walk past. My only complaint would be with the parking underneath, which is quite narrow and a little dicey to get out of.

Wonderful library. Lots a chairs and tables to sit at. Employees are very helpful and friendly. Looking forward to going back.

Great library in a great location which allows those who study convenient access to amenities such as food and shopping. The wall garden on the south face of this building gives the structure a unique character. Library is quiet, clean, and has a large assortment of children's books. There is also a public jigsaw puzzle near the entrance for everyone to contribute to its completion

Love this library!! It’s really bright and quiet, a great place to sit and read or study. This location has a wonderful selection of books. There are also flyers on the wall for local classes and whatnot that are also being held at the library.

Helpful staff, good library content, pleasant experience all around.

Kids live here so much. Easy to find the book they want. If the book is not available, people can hold it online, then will have email notification when it arrives library

This is our closest library, so we go here often. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Wonderful location with helpful staff, great amenities and features, and overall a wonderful layout that accommodates everyone using the library from the Semiahmoo/South Surrey area!
