Surprising good food, full of wow factor, really nice service, also good wine pairing. Lots choices of after dinner spirit.

OMG! Best food in a long time! I'm a tuff person to please and the tasting menu was so spot on! I was so pleased with the choices. And every c ourse was so good. When i say i haven't had a meal this good in forever, I'm not joking! I would go back and spend the money just to enjoy the whole experience again. The staff was attentive, the food was amazing and the surroundings were beautiful!!! If your in the area and have a few extra bucks to spend, I highly recomend making a reservation to this place. You will not be disappointed. Oh and I don't speak french so i can't name the dishes. I really believe this place should be Michelin star rated. Because ive beeen to some before and this place was by far much better.

The food and service were amazing! The food was very tasty and the non-alcoholic pairing was creative and flavourful. Portions were on the small side. The only disappointment was the cookies served at the end of the meal - they lacked flavour and seemed stale.

My wife and I had terrific dinner at Laurie Raphaël. I had reserved a table on the terrace, but asked the host for a table inside, due to the gloomy weather. Thankfully, she was able to accommodate us.

As a gastronomic restaurant, Laurie Raphaël does not disappoint. Every part of the dining experience is very well thought out and executed.

The host led us through the restaurant to our table. Surprisingly, the first part of the restaurant that we entered was the kitchen, where Chef Raphaël Vézina and his Chefs all stopped whatever they were doing and greeted us with a hearty, “Bonsoir!” The entire space is beautiful and modern.

After we were seated and enjoying a cocktail, the complete tasting menu was explained to us. My wife and I wanted to enjoy a lighter dinner on the final night of our first ever trip to Vieux-Québec, so we chose the five-course Menu Personnalisé over the full eight-course Expérience Gastronomique. I also chose to have the wine pairings with my meal.

The food was terrific; inventive and delicious. We really enjoyed the pairing of cucumber with caviar, and the textures and flavors of the lobster course were fantastic. I only wish that I had been offered some bread to soak up every last bit of the sauce. There were no missteps with any of the dishes, which were all delicious. I’ll post photos.

The wines were chosen playfully and from all over the world. I particularly enjoyed the Il Roccolo di Monticelli di Rado, which transported me back to Venice.

At first, I worried that the service would be less convivial than I prefer. The staff appeared to have clearly defined roles; some set the table, others delivered the food and others cleared the table. However, there was one gentleman who came by to introduce each course, and showed great humor when I asked him to do it in both English and then French, and, finally, both English and French at the same time.

As tourists, the only part of our meal that was lacking was a clear connection between the food and wines to the locality. We travel to eat and experiencing the terroir is important to us. I was hoping for a more clearly Québécois meal. For example, the cheese option for the dessert course was a play on carbonara; a flan of egg, Louis d’Or cheese and guanciale. While the cheese is from Québec, I felt like I was in Rome, instead of Québec.

As I said, however, this feeling is particular to us as tourists. As a gastronomic experience, our meal lacked nothing and would stand out anywhere that we have been in the world.

Had a lovely romantic dinner here, the service was superb worthy of 3 Michelin stars. The presentation was excellent and the flavors took you from one end of the spectrum to another in a good way. One bite delights all night with an amazing cocktail selection.

We were lucky to snag a reservation at Chef Raphael Vezina’s restaurant. We ordered the full tasting menu. The whole meal was a great dining experience. The service is unhurried and excellent. Being greeted by the kitchen staff upon entering was an unexpected treat! A bonus was receiving a paper copy of the menu signed by Chef ☺

Absolutely loved this place
Fine dining “newer” style
Great team that seems to really works well together
The tasting menu was delicious
The wine pairing was a hit or miss we appreciate they journey off the beaten track but still expect the wines to be delicious or at least be enjoyable with the course (referring to the Quebec wines as these were def not our favorites)

Also 7 courses is 7 courses with 7 wine pairings unlike other restaurants in town

The friandises with the coffee or the cherry on the cake

Overall can highly recommend and hope to come back one day

Incredible evening. We had the tasting menu with the wine pairings. Great food, great ambiance, but the highlight was the sommelier. He was passionate about his wines and explained everything really well.

The highlight of my stay in Quebec City for my birthday week. My bf booked this gorgeous restaurant and it didn’t let us down. Lunch menu only has 2 options, 3 course meal or 5 course meal. We chose 5 course meal and got really satisfied but not too full in the end. Restaurant is decorated in a modern way. Very bright, very comfortable. Food is absolutely amazing. Our waiter is very nice and helpful. Didn’t get treated differently because we were the youngest couple there. Not like the garbage place called la Continental. I love their deer ball the most. Fish was fantastic too. Only pity was that in the menu there’s no duck because I really don’t like duck... but it turned out they ran out of the food on the menu which is the main course and had to serve us duck. I didn’t like the duck and that’s the only pity. We are definitely gonna go back every single time we go visit Quebec City and we are gonna try their supper next time. A must-go high end French restaurant in Quebec City if ur looking for this type of food.

Culinary anoitment!

This is experience in full, from a short visit to the kitchen before being led to the dining table to the final drink in the lounge after dinner.
The menu is fresh, exciting, intriguing, modern, yet comforting , familiar, and with local touch.
The wine flight was exquisite and paired with food impeccably.
Service is well paced out, with just enough information about the dishes and with well orchestrated service choreography.
Amazing

It was definitely a unique experience. You have to be ready to spend about 3h in this restaurant. World class service, the hostess greeted us and guided us through the kitchen where she introduced us to the staff. That was a personalized touch! We were seated in a lounge-y bar where they took our drink orders before being seated in the main area.

The dishes were perfectly executed. My favourites were the sea food platter at the beginning of our courses and the dessert at the end.

I didn't drink alcohol that night but took the non-alcoholic beverage pairings ($40) and was pleasantly surprised! I would definitely recommend.

Fabulous evening at Laurie Raphaël for our son's 24th birthday! The food was sensational from start to finish with each service an explosion of incredible flavours. The service was absolutely impeccable from the minute we arrived and we especially enjoyed the entertaining and nuanced descriptions of each wine pairing by the sommelier. Be prepared for a sizeable bill at the end of the night but rest assured that you will come away from your evening having had a once in a lifetime gastronomic experience that you will never forget!

Outstanding restaurant. Easily equal to Michelin star restaurants I have eaten at elsewhere. Borderline two star. Every dish a treat. No misses. Well crafted, whimsical arrangements, and each one a delicious surprise. One memorable moment was the “coal” dessert. Cream wrapped in hard crust covered with ash to look like a burning coal. Great service and wine pairings. Well designed setup in an odd space. You walk into the kitchen, then waiting and amuse in the bar, and then seat you in main room.

Definitely one of the best tables not only in the city, but of the province! Refined dishes with intricate tastes and textures.

A special shout-out for the sommelier who was knowledgeable and entertaining.

A michelin star experience in my book!

We greatly enjoyed the amazing service and food! What a delight to spend 4 hours enjoying such unique flavors…while also enjoying the wine accompaniments. We wouldn’t hesitate to return on our next trip to Quebec City.

We had a wonderful 5 course tasting menu. The service was impeccable; both the wine and the sans alcohol drink pairings thoughtfully chosen and delightfully introduced. The dishes were beautifully presented and a joy to eat. It's an experience from start to finish--what a treat!

What an experience! Everything tasted delicious. We had the 9 courses with full wine pairing. My favourite was the bluefin tuna. Perfection!
