Great place to take the kids! Playground is great and the river is soooo much fun!! Did a float from our campground to the bridge 3 days in a row(about 1.5hrs) was perfect! No services but well worth it!

Great campground, lots of room for groups, we had site C and there were two groups on it still lots of room and privacy.

We love this place for camping. No drinking water. No power. No sewer. Pit toilets. Huge campground. Many treed sites. Well maintained. Free firewood, but it may be wet and picked over. You can leisurely float in the river from the north end of to park to the south side of the highway bridge in about an hour. The nighttime mosquitoes were unusually bad in July 2022 (due to a late Spring). But Starland is in the heart of the Red Deer River Badlands, and the stars late at night are glorious. We saw the Northern Lights. 30 minutes from Drumheller. We spent five nights camping here.

Situated on the Red Deer River, surrounded by eroded hillsides, this campground is scenic, quiet, and spacious. The dark skies are perfect for stargazing. Footpaths going into the hills give the opportunity to explore the amazing geology of the area. Campsites backing onto the river are spectacular.

This has become one of our favorite campsites. Access to the river is close, great for floating or just cooling off. Peaceful, quiet, hot!

A lovely park for camping and recreation.
Located on the Red Deer River, with many birds and Richardson ground squirrels romping about.

Trees are numerous so shade from the sun is available.

We love it here. No services, but there are gravel pad, or field group camping spots available. River access, outhouses, hand pump well, ball diamonds, great park for the kiddos, and access to the Coulees for hiking. Gloriously dark sky for stargazing, and generally speaking quite quiet.

Great camp sites, super hot during the summer, bring lots of sunscreen as there is no shade for the most part. If you're tenting they have an out house. Bring bug spray, they can be savage. The red deer river is close by, great for a quick dip and a refresh, a bit murky of course since it's the badlands. Free firewood, the wood is alright but not great for enjoying, much better once it breaks down into coals for cooking on the campfire. Recommend bringing some to start a fire with and then throwing on some of the split logs they provide. Pull in sites as well as first come first serve tenting and trailers/rv sites. The sky is absolutely breathtaking if you can stay up late enough, I highly recommend!! 20 bucks a night is totally reasonable, per unit per night.

This is a great place to go fossil hunting, exploring fishing and camping. I've caught Goldeye here when fishing, have found several interesting fossils (including a fragment of a large tooth). The area is also very picturesque so make sure to bring your camera.

Great little spot to stop with the dogs for a walk, have a picnic and keep going. Pretty quiet. Could camp but decided to keep going. Bathroom was a bit gross but there were plenty to choose from.

Starland Campground RULES!! It is great for families looking for a low risk, low key camp trip, with a playground, wide open fields, and the Red Deer River to play in. Not to mention - the free firewood and hikes through the hoodoos!

Good place to go. Camping fee has increased this year. If you love the Drumheller area you'll like Starland.
