Beautiful lake, great people, awesome and fairly easy hike up. I'm fairly slow on hikes up but it took us roughly 2.5 hours to get up to Lillian with our gear. We stayed for 2 nights and the scenery was breathtaking. We had conversation around the campfire (they fly in wood) with all of the other patrons of the campground. Lillian lake is a must try for people who are new to backpacking or seasoned backpacking adventurers who would like a gorgeous view for a short in and out.

Well done to the parks crew and the outhouse company that takes care of the place.

We will be back next summer :)

Very good moderate hike with some areas that will challenge you a bit so wear the proper shoes. Very great views and a easy trail to follow, lillian lake was very beautiful and seems like a very good spot to fish and also to camp for the night. Will definitely be coming back specially to camp and do some fishing.

A beautiful hike about 6/7km within Kananaskis area complete with wooden and/or metal bridges over flowing or frozen depending on the time of the month you visit. In winter, the Lillian Lake is frozen and covered with snow. Absolutely beautiful view all through the hike.

Great hike. The view at the top is totally worth it . It’s best to arrive early because the parking lot starts to fill up very quickly . Dogs are allowed but on leash . We ran into a black bear right next to the path, he was a big boy . He looked at us and continued on his way deeper into the forest . Some ppl were swimming at the top of the lake. I wouldn’t recommend it but to each their own I guess. Either way it was a great time

Difficult hike, could be very difficult to impossible if you have mobility issues. Beautiful views from start to end. Designated backwoods camping at the lake - no fires.

Beautiful lake and campsite! There's ample tent pads. If you're lucky you'll get one facing the lake. The water was warm enough to take a refreshing dip on a warm day. Hike up to Galatea lakes is a short 1km from the campsite and we'll worth it. Was smokey but I've done the hike when the skies are clean and its gorgeous!!

Beautiful lake and campground! If you go during weekdays, you can probably get a spot facing the lake.

Pretty little campground located next to Lillian Lake. The hike is beside Galatea Creek, it was lovely, a little bit icy, it was good to have microspikes and poles! It was a long and steady uphill with changing eco systems all the way up. Very few people were on the trail in early November.

Perfect hike, top 3 for me, rebuilt perfectly after the 13 flood. 3-4 hours avg if you add on going up to the Galatea lakes where the views spectacular.

One hell of an incline. Pack light and pack a camera! The views are well worth the reward. Stop for a soak in the Galatea Lakes!!!

At least 6 KM trail which would take around 2 - 3 hours. However, it was absolutely worth it at the end.
Track is save and you would cross 10 bridges over the small falls which extends the beauty.

This lake and the upper and lower Galatea lakes are fantastic day trip destinations.

Great hike, great views, and it's short enough for a day trip from Calgary. Has some camping facilities, and sitting logs/chairs all around the lake.

Beautiful place but overcrowded now. Passed 205 people walking out Saturday morning. Added 30min to our time stopping to let everyone pass.

It is a kind moderate to severe trail, for me was a great test of my physical conditions as well my mental state. Will do again for sure. Walking stick is a must, same as leaving dry cloth back in your car to change in your bak if you get wet as we did.

This has to be the best backcountry campgrounds in the Kananaskis area. It is an amazing (and slightly intense) hike in to this gorgeous lake.

The campsites are well set up with many level deck surfaces for seeing up tents.

One of the best parts about this campgrounds is the solar powered composting toilet outhouse which has minimal smell. This is much better than the traditional pit/rocketship outhouses at most other campgrounds you go to.

The day hike to the galatea lakes leads to many amazing views.

This campgrounds is one that you must experience at least once. You will not regret it. (Good luck getting a booking though)

Plenty of firewood and an axe at the campground which is nice to see back - August 2023.

Nice and easy to hike in campground. Peaceful atmosphere, you can fish and swim in the lake. Great views, super sunny cooking area (no firewood provided!), clean pit toilets.

BUGS BUGS BUGS! Bring repellent.
