So absolutely gorgeous. Limitless trails and picnic spots make it difficult to determine how to spend your day. The mountains vistas are stunningly beautiful and nearly impossible to capture with photography. Love this place. Need to come back asap.

Close to the City of Calgary, Town of Canmore. A lot of fun activities to do - Rafting, boating, and hiking. You can find the easy or challenging trails to touch the natural landscape when exploring the trails of Mount Yamnuska, Heart Mountain Trails.

This place is very close to Canmore. Again a beautiful city. Banff is just too hyped up. If you want to enjoy nature in quite, this is the place. Not too many tourists and amazing view. I liked it better than Lake Louise, it is just too crowded. You may encounter mountain goats and bears on your way. This area is still under construction for roads. Be prepared to drive not so smooth road. This road also leads to Grassi lake (again amazing views and quiet untouched nature/ conservative park). Bow valley park is good for paddle boating. Enjoy all the nature to yourself.

I will definitely recommend to experience this.

Just wow! Way less crowded than Banff National park and as breathtaking if it's not more! Be ready to have your car dirty, but it's all worth it at the end. Probably one of the prettiest place on this planet. A must go for any mountain enthusiastic!

Love how quiet and peaceful it was, and great spot to unwind. Though I would recommend to bring more layers and it can be quite windy on the kayak

Amazing place, on a side road to the trans Canadian highway, but part of the national park. Baker creek is a set of log cabins on the road but close to the ski area of Lake Louise.

Super dog friendly hike which is quite easy for beginners. The farther you make it the tougher it gets. We had notice that people were rock climbing with what looked to be a guide. All in all a great day hike close to the city.

Absolutely beautiful. Words can't describe this place. So close to Calgary/ Cochrane. So many hiking trails and things to do. The park staff are always the best. Lived in the area for 30 years and keep going back.

We hiked MacDonald. Of all our climbs I would say this one was easily the most beautiful. The trail varies in scenery more than any of the other ones we did and its rock field is incredible. If you want a challenge, but you don't want to scramble then this is your trail. This trail I'm pretty sure was made so a horse could get up it. The perfect compromise between people who like a challenge and people who don't feed comfortable on scrambles. I would honestly say I think it's more beautiful than most scrambles anyway.

We had a great time at this beautiful campground. Fun bike trail that are along the bow river. Very private sites. Full hook up.

Beautiful scenery, canoeing was awesome, be aware of weather and dress for changeable weather. Bring lots of water and snacks, sunscreen, bug spray and bear spray. They usually post bear activity in the areas affected. Dogs on leash, pickup their and your garbage, be bear safe with your food.

The facilities are very well maintained and showers are available. Shows are available for children and there is even the chance to participate in them! The paths and playgrounds are kept well maintained. One thing of note is that the sounds of the train track across the river are loud and come every 2 hours or so.

My sister and I took a vacation and did the horseback riding tour around bow valley. We got a quick introduction and we waited for our horses. The guides were enthusiastic and informative. They made our first time horseback riding a great one. I look forward to doing it again! Thank you ❤
