Despite the proximity of sites, this back country campground was absolutely stunning. Waking up before 7:00 am to catch sunrise was so rewarding and beautiful to watch over Barrier lake. Great spot for a glacial lake swim in the day.

Amazing back country campground with 7 tent sites, central firepit, horse hitching rails that is assessable by boat (across Barrier Lake) or land.

Site #5 by far has the best unobstructed views to the lake.

Great spot to camp minus the electrical wires. We went in January and no one in site. Nice tent pad with a view of the lake and fire-pit in the common area. Easy hike in so you can afford some extra food if you like. Bear lockers included by the fire pit and plenty of benches/picnic tables. Would recommend for beginners but again the electrical wires were an eye sore just outside camp. There is a small hike you can do further away from the parking lot where we snowshoed for a couple kilometres but wires the whole way (i believe it eventually leads to Ribbon Creek).

Great place for an easy backcountry experience! Only a short 4km hike in (50m elevation change) and very well maintained. Beautiful views of Barrier Lake and the surrounding mountains. Has bear lockers, a pit toilet and a group fire ring.

We used a canoe to get to this campsite, but it is also accessible by foot. It is 4ish km easy hike to the site and a 15-20 minute canoe trip is the weather is nice. There are 8 tent pads, one fire pit, one outhouse and 4 picnic tables. There are no services at the site other than what was mentioned. Water from the creek is used if you haven't packed in your own water, which they advise should be boiled. The view of the lake from the campsites is amazing. There are some nice hiking trails nearby and of course you can do water sports on the lake. We went with our 4yo and had a great time. As it was out first time tenting with him we were only there one night, but it would have been okay to do more.

We hiked to it for the day. Small tent pads, great location for a backcountry beginner, easy short hike in

Not the most backcountry of backcountry campsites but a good introduction to someone who's interested in a taste of the backcountry. Access to the site is easy in case one needs to bail and the use of a canoe makes it even easier. Took my friend and his son to this site and they loved it.

Great backcountry campsite for beginners. Only 3.9km hike in. 7 campsites, so less people. Awesome little area to swim in the Lake. Great campsite! Except only 6 bear lockers and seven campsites. So if campsite is full someone has to share a bear locker. But bear lockers, picnic tables, fire pit, and out house are all in one spot.

Location is amazing on the lake. Picnic tables and fire pit are in a shared location. Bear proof food storage available. Trail into site isn't that interesting, but camp is located near bottom of Jewell Pass trail which is a good hike or bike.

The campground was lovely but there was quite a lot of garbage around the area.
