Stoney Creek Provincial Recreation Area

A large, quiet place for group camping nestled in the forest with mountain views. There is a posted map for trails. The pit toilets stalls were clean. There are lots of picnic tables around the fire area, in the covered space as well as inside an indoor space which had a large wood bbq. There are some flat areas under the trees for tent camping.

Excellent group site for camping with the family! Lots of space for everyone to have their own little piece.... but nice areas to beast group as well!

We had a great experience here! Showed up around 830pm and since the campground had a lot of empty spaces the owner/caretaker told us to go head on up to his site with the best view instead of the site we had reserved online. And the site did not disappoint! Such a lovely campground with so many sites that have good views, with lovely staff!

Very knowlegable staff there. Poi red out a great hike perfect for us.

Great group camp site

Beautiful

Was a good campground for a group with mostly campers. Sites for tents are not as great and harder to find, especially if you have a large tent. Within 15 minutes of lots of great hiking trails. Was hot during the day but prepare for it to be cool at night and as you are waking up. Bring layers!

This Central campsite will be the base for your hiking travels. You don't have to drive either but just down the road is Kananaskis and all the other beautiful sights

Only stayed there a short time but it was very pretty, quiet, and had good picnic tables and restrooms.
