Loved our time here! Beds were very comfortable and the heater made the tent so cozy. The staff were really friendly! Perfect spot close to so many great hikes and the kananaskis river. The campground was quiet and peaceful. Camped May 27th to 28th.

A nice place to camp if you’re looking for something close to Calgary. The place has some nice mountain view. There’s a volleyball court and an open field to play anything you would like. It’s nice to spend approximately 2-3 days here.

This campsite is in a beautiful location, with a lot of trails and scenery in the immediate area, and it is a short drive to Canmore and Banff. The property is clean, quiet and well kept. We stayed there twice, once in a trapper tent and once in a teepee. I would recommend it.

My friend booked our stay. I can’t say enough good things about my stay, i really enjoyed the trapper tents thought it was fun the kerosene heaters provided in the tents are more than enough to stay warm while sleeping. The staff was also super helpful with any questions we had while giving us awesome recommendations for places to visit.

Added to our annual summer family must dos. We have been patrons for over 3 years now. As opposed to other reviews, we got our usual 110/night price. We booked it 4 weeks in advance. Perfect for families, greenery and units are well maintained. Heated trappers are my favourite.

We had an amazing time at Sundance by Basecamp! It’s a great location to many lakes and trails nearby. We loved the new addition of Adirondack chairs and hammocks to have our coffee by the river, and the free rental lawn games to take back to our tent were great!

We had a great stay at Sundance! The trappers tents are so picturesque. The location was phenomenal for hiking. We conveniently got the bedding / kitchen add-one and it made packing so much easier.

Had a wonderful experience, beautiful tent, born fire, bench , car parking near tent , tent has beds , heater.
Beautiful place to explore and camp.
Easy to find the place, we booked at last moment luckily got one tent for 185 for one night but this price is expensive bcoz of long weekends .
Overall enjoyed a lot. Must recommend to go.

Amazing trip. We did our annual cousin camping trip at Sundance Lodges this past week and had the best time. The kids in our group thought the trappers tents were so cool but for adults the facilities are so clean, and well managed. The staff is incredibly friendly and the sites are perfect.

This is definitely a spot that is more up my alley camping wise as you don’t have to set up your full site but still get to connect with nature and enjoy the beautiful sights or kananaskis. We even brought our 3 month old baby which was made a breeze by the heaters in the tents.

The whole family is excited to come back again next year!

What a beautiful site! So nice to just roll up, unload and be set for your stay. We stayed in a trappers tent and it was spacious and the heater worked really well to take the edge off the cold nights. The only issue we had were the crazy amount of spiders. I’d bet we killed 50 inside the tent all over the walls. Will definitely bring raid next time just to be safe. I’m sure it’s just cold weather related and we will definitely be back.

This is a perfect campsite getaway! Tons of options to tent, teepee or semi-glamp!
Our family enjoyed all the hiking trails, hammocks along the river bank, Nordic spa 5 mins away & golfing only 10mins away at the world class Kananaskis golf club. I would for sure book and stay here again.

Awesome spot! Made camping with little kids easier as they have all of the camping stuff available to rent or buy on site. So we didn’t have to pack it all. Really nice stay.

Loved our recent stay at Sundance by Basecamp. The trappers tents are super cozy and we were a quick walk to the river where we were surrounded by stunning views of mountain peaks. Tons of activities to do near Sundance as well such as hiking, golfing, or paddling on barrier lake! If you’re looking for your next glamping trip destination I highly recommend Sundance :)

As someone who hates anything resembling camping, this place had an uphill battle to make me happy…but I can honestly say that I had a great time here. The facilities are super clean and were in great working condition, with multiple nice showers for use. There’s a little general store with everything that you could need while you’re there, letting you rent whatever you may have forgot at home. Overall I loved it, would stay again.

Stayed here for 3 nights in a Trappers Tent and it was a great experience. The tent was equipped with a small lantern and gas heater which is filled each day. The gas lasts all night which was good. I liked how the picnic table is covered too as it rained a couple nights there. You bring your own wood or buy from the store. Washrooms were kept very very clean and showers never ran out of hot water (believe it or not!). Highly recommend!

We absolutely love coming here as a family to camp every year!
This campground has sites that are all shaded and clean. Tents/tipis all have a heater and a lantern included. Trappers tents have the extra coverage over the deck with the picnic table, so if it rains you’ll still be covered. Tons of stuff to do around kananaskis as well.
Staff are always amazing, washrooms are always clean. Can’t say enough great things, we will always continue to visit yearly.

Very good location, very clean, lots of space and privacy. Need for more washrooms, especially realized this when we had to walk our youngest back and forth to the washroom over and over. But overall, very happy with our weekend there!

Family of five, we booked a Trappers Tent for two nights here on the first weekend in July. If you're not super outdoorsy but still like a little taste of it now and then, this is a pretty good option. Buy firewood and ice and other basics at the Trading Post store. They also sell coffee there if you don't feel like tackling that issue in the morning. It rained off and on for basically the entire time we were there, which was a bit of a bummer, but no internet points deducted, this place was great for us. Thanks!

I had been here before but forgotten what a perfect place this is for families! There are teepee sites and trapper tent sites. I highly recommend the trapper tent sites because it eliminates so much of the struggle that takes place with camping and kids. It gives you more time to have camp fires and walks together.

Then kerosene heaters in the tents are most welcome when the temperatures dip a bit and a family of 4 can sleep in them quite easily.

The general store has anything you could need as well as wood for $12 a bundle.

Each morning the park staff come to fill your kerosene tank and clean the washrooms. In fact the washrooms are kept spotless!

The central area to play games and badminton is a fun way of meeting other families.

On the final night when there was a rain storm, it was nice to know that we were not going to need to take down a tent in the rain and get soaked!

I will make a point of returning here. It is dog friendly here too.
