Loved being able to hike in and camp. Lots of paths around the campground. People are mindful and put their stuff in the bear lockers. Felt everyone followed bear safety. Great campsite. Had a few outhouses. Bring extra toilet paper. Wood is provided and an ace is there. Several picnic tables to share and a large campfire circle with seating. Water is accessible easily but needs to be filtered. Be sure to bring your filtration systems.

This campground is for beginners. It was our first time backcountry as well. Its very easy access from heart creek trail head. There is also a access via highway, but you have to park their on your own risk.

Campground is very nice and quite. There is one common fireplace with lots of seating arrangements. They have only 8 bear lockers so if its buzy day you might have to share locker. Right across campground there is a drinking water available. You just have to boil it before drinking. There is 2 pit toilets.

Lots of wood available. And there is axe as well.

Overall its very pleasant experience, I would highly recomend for beginners.

Nice campground for beginners in backcountry camping.

The hike is easy. You can go from the Heart Creek trailhead or can use shortcut.
There is a fire pit, and there are three picnic tables.

This place looks great even in the winter! Approximately 5km in on the heart creek trail, be prepared for rolling terrain, and a scenic uphill finish. Onsite pit toilet, bear lockers, and firepit with wood. Scenic stalls well protected from the wind. Many scenic hikes from this point with a variety of challenges.

Nice campground for backcountry beginners, I'm surprised how clear the water source is, there is an ample space for kids to run, tent sites are ideal, there are 2 outhouses to use just bring ur toilet paper and sanitizer. Firewood is supplied, there was an ax to use. Easy trail. From heart trail parking area to Quaite it took us less than 2 hours to hike.

Great little campground in kananaskis area. Hike in is quite short and not very steep so it's a perfect spot for beginners or people with kids. There's There's great climbing about 300m down the trail from the campground.
There's always a giant woodpile (and axe) for making fires. There's picnic tables, bear bins, and 2 pit toilets. Be sure to bring your own toilet paper as the toilets rarely have any. There's also a water source nearby.

Despite the obvious presence of humanity during the hike and the faint traffic noise late at night, it is a nice spot for beginner hikers and families. A couple stalls need repair and are uneven, but otherwise a prime location near the Jewel pass with access to Barrier Lake, Prairie View, and Heart Mountain trails. Bring something to throw in the field or practice your yoga. A lovely place!

Amazing campground - trust me when I say that the photos don't really do it justice. The communal cooking area/fire is very close to the campsite and there are 3 picnic tables nearby as well as benches around the fire. No need to pack chairs! Firewood was plentiful. Campground was very clean and had running water (must boil first) just a 1 min walk away. The 5k walk to the campground was beautiful and not too difficult with our heavy packs.

Fantastic. Even has an axe and water. Don't let the dry creek discourage you hiking up from the Trans-Canada

A beautiful hike in from the Trans-Canada and a nicely laid out campground. It has one communal fire pit, fire wood, bear lockers, outhouses and a hose for water. A great, cheap spot for backpacking in Alberta.

Great little camp area. It has picnic benches, fire pit, toilet, individual raised tent areas and fresh water(should still be boiled/filtered). Spent a well rested night here.

Has everything you need. Bear lockers are limited, so plan on a backup if it’s busy.
