Hôtel du Nord

It is difficult to find reasonably priced hotels for a family of five but this exceeded our expectations. Our room was big and clean and quiet and the beds comfortable. The kids loved the pool. We also found the breakfast to be in line with what we’d expect from a continental hotel breakfast and our kids were appreciative of the treat of juice and chocolate muffins. The location and parking was also very convenient.

A little place, but conveniently located, clean, and staffed with attentive and friendly individuals. Breakfast is limited but it does the job! Very happy with our stay and would absolutely book again.

We had a 5 bed hotel room, two queen beds and one twin bed beside the door. Got the twin and honestly so comfortable and nice to sleep in. Also got my own night light/wall lamp that won't bother others if I need it.

Most of all, the people at the reception are super kind and accommodating. Answering all of our questions about the area and helping us when asked. Just bring your own bread and some spreads for breakfast and with the rest of the provided food, it's good enough ! I even saw some people bring ramen, they provide you with the electronics to use so our breakfast wasn't bad at all.

Additionally, I did leave my shoes at the hotel and couldn't get it as I was on the train on my way home to Ontario. I called, they answered me, checked the room, found it and kindly called back and let me know how I'd be able to send it back to me. (I did have to pay shipping and pick-up for the delivery. I have yet to receive my shoes back but the UPS sent an email saying the package is on its way).

Overall I was happy with my stay, and the unlimited coffee/hot chocolate, and hot drink options was a cool feature. Got to walk outside in the cold with hot chocolate.

The bus stop was nearby, and there were some issues with the room cards, as well as with the vending machine, but the front desk was always happy and helpful to fix it up for us.

I loved this hotel. We stayed in a "family" room with three beds. It was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was huge. The salt water pool is lovely and not to be missed. I also enjoyed the fitness room and the lounge area. Also they played very nice soothing music. Staff was super helpful and kind.

Budget friendly hotel. No elevator. Parking excellent. 24/7 drinks at the lobby is awesome. Room size is good. Breakfast could br better instead of take out bag.

High quality rooms, the beds were super comfortable and there were lots of outlets to charge many devices at the same time. The staff was very friendly and pleasant, the coffee was also fantastic! Highly recommend this place for your stay in Quebec

We had a nice experience here. It's tough to find good options to sleep 5 without it being very expensive. We had three beds and the room didn't feel cramped! It was clean and comfortable.

Included breakfast was a little meager but decent enough considering I had forgotten it was included at all! We enjoyed the included coffee/hot chocolates. The staff was kind and helpful. There were also three 30A electric vehicle chargers.

The street was nice and felt out of the way. There were coffee shops, pubs, and an ice cream/gelato place nearby, though the main park was being worked on.

We would visit again!

Excellent experience at this hotel. Very friendly staff. Amazing pool - clean, quiet, and well maintained. Free parking at back of hotel. A bit of a walk to Old Quebec, but very doable. We walked there and back both days. The hotel is in a cool, residential neighbourhood with great restaurants and cafes nearby. Great value for price!

It’s great once you’ve read all the comments, you know what you get into. A quick summary for those who want to go quick about it:
- very small breakfast in a pouch (but it’s fine for small eaters like me: an apple, a piece of industrial cheddar, a chocochip muffin and an orange/apple juice, self-help coffee is available all-day.)
- free bus tickets available if you stay more than 2 nights. Some clerks want to hide it and will tell you that it’s 3.75$ per trip. There’s a QR you can scan, enter your details and show the confirmation code to the other clerk, you will get the free bus tickets.
- small room, but definitely clean and comfy.
- free parking behind the property, don’t mixup with the parking reserved for the sport shop, and you will need to declare your vehicle to the clerk to get a special parking card to display on the dashboard.

We had a pleasant stay at Hotel du NORD. Firstly, I would like to express my gratitude towards SARA for her exceptional assistance in booking our room. She was courteous and polite throughout the process. Secondly, being a family of five adults, she provided us with a room that comfortably accommodated all of us. I strongly recommend this hotel.

We had a wonderful experience here. Room was very clean and comfortable. Front desk staffs were amazing, they allowed us to early check in and handed the breakfast even during our early morning check out. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Quebec city.

We had a great stay. The staff was nice and attentive and our bedroom was clean and quiet (they weren't lying about the sound-proofing). There is AC in every room, and free parking on site. They also followed the COVID regulations well. The breakfast was understandably underwhelming due to the pandemic (apple, orange juice, and muffin in a paper bag) but considering all the other factors I would definitely come back.

Overall it is a nice hotel.

A short drive or a convenient transit ride to and from the main part of Quebec City and near other sites of interests.

The room was very clean and nicely modernly decorated!
The bed was very comfortable!
But the room was likely painted recently as there was a strong chemical-like odour.
I would suggest the hotel to use a low VOC paint instead in the future when painting a room.

The staff was very friendly and speaking English was no issue.

Parking is quite limited though.

Breakfast was decent, everything was fresh but not too much variety.

This is a decent hotel somewhat close to downtown, the prices are affordable and for the most part it is a very nice hotel. Not happy about the dirt on the wall, called reception to ask to have it clean, they have not done it yet

Service overall was great and Manuel was extra amazing! Rooms are small but it was all I needed for a quick stay. Cafe next door also had very friendly staff and cute. Would recommend.

A big shout-out to the amazing staff. Nice, neat and very clean. Good pool for the kids. Parking included. Room as advertised. All requirements delt with swiftly and to our satisfaction. Bad view from room 225, but we didn't care. Bang for your buck - worth it. Would I return- yep.BTW, thanks for the ice pack from the boiled 🦞

For more than thirty years, I have been traveling between European and American cities. I have never met a hotel manager like the manager of this hotel. Excellence in her beautiful nature and love to help. Her personality and her good behavior. She made us feel at home and not in a hotel. Thank you to her and the rest of the crew.

It's the perfect distance for a nice walk to old quebec(I believe 3km). We spent two night here and enjoyed access to the pool with clean towels. The rooms were quiet and they were defiantly spacious enough for the two of us. The a.c. was amazing given they were two very hot days. The receptionist who helped us check in was fantastic with speaking English and explaining everything to us. I would like to thank her for making our stay amazing. I would defiantly recommend this hotel especially if your looking for peace and quiet after a long day of touring.

Super friendly staff and easy to find location. Offers complementary overnight parking but only limited spaces. The room is small but has everything! Just 10 to 15 min drive to old town core and also walkable distance if you want to explore! Considering the price, I have zero to complain! :)

Very cosy. Clean like after renovation. Breakfast is very good, l got tasty green tea. Staff is very friendly. Free Wi-Fi did not work after midnight but we did not complain because it was not important for us at all. It worked in the morning, so maybe it was just an accident. Overall we were very happy to be there. After we saw pictures of cheaper motels we were very excited how this one looks and feels.
