A great historical yet updated and well appointed boutique hotel a short walk from Historic Downtown Québec! Rooms are very spacious and beautifully decorated with modern and eclectic decor. Very quiet rooms despite facing a heavily used road… impressive. Staff are very helpful and courteous. The hotel is ideally situated just about 20 min walk from the Old City, and there’s plenty to eat and entertain right out the front door, just a minute or 2 away. Bonus is underground parking available just a couple minutes away outside the front door… worth the cost with in and out privileges.

Place was quite large and spacious. Staff were all very kind. Room was clean, place looks modern, washroom clean. Room was a tad cold at night ... there was a tiny tiny heater but it is in the bathroom and couldnt heat anything up for the life of it, but the thick blankets was enough to keep warm throughout the night. Overall pleasant experience and would book again. Location is close enough to old Quebec and we just walked to the attractions. Some shops nearby if you need any items or food. Great place

Great hotel, very spacious bathroom and bedroom. We got a wine for our honeymoon, very nice staff👍 we'll visit again. Nearby is a very great cafe for breakfast and lot's of nice restaurants.

We stayed in a king room which was quite roomy and modern looking. The bathroom was very clean, also quite roomy and had a nice and shiny bath tub. The staff were polite and on-point. I asked the reception about the public transport in the city and they gave us free bus passes for the whole stay which was a nice surprise. Bonus: the elevator has a vintage look to it with old-timey typewriter mechanical keys.

service was great, concierge was friendly and went above and beyond to help.

parking wasn't that difficult to manage, it's just across the street.

rooms were stocked, clean and comfortable.

easy to get around by foot or by car to Old Quebec City, but also has plenty of great cafes nearby.

Excellent location and service. The staff were very welcoming. People complain about parking costs? Lets be real, downtown underground secure parking in a major city, at $19, is a bargain. Its an added luxury to get parking. The room was huge and clean, with a separate kitchenette. I look forward to returning in the summer!

We loved our stay at Hotel Royal William! The front desk team was so kind and patient and the rooms are beautifully decorated and modern with an artsy flair.

Our room had a Murphy bed which was very easy to convert and surprisingly very comfortable! It’s in a great location within walking distance to tons of great restaurants and shops.

Would come back here in a heartbeat!

We booked this hotel for a business meeting in Quebec City. One, the location is wonderful and centrally located. So many amazing bakeries and cafes within walking distance. Lots of restaurants as well and within walking distance to Old Quebec. Secondly, the service was wonderful. The staff was very prompt in helping us with every detail in the planning. The hotel was very updated inside with beautiful decor. Lobby kept very clean and smelled very fresh. Great coffee and food service for our breaks. Thank you Francis and team for making us feel welcome and taken care of. Would definitely recommend for a business meeting or personal stay.

From room 410 😁

We booked a regular studio room but at the check-in, the lady at the front desk asked if it was our the first time here, then told us that she is upgrading our room for free for a suite.

Very nice place, indoor parking and near comodities (restaurant, bar..)
A coffee machine and teas are available for free at the lobby and continental breakfast available for 14$ (room service or in the lobby)
USB port and outlet also available in the room.

Very nice hotel and very nice team !

We stayed there for 2 nights and our experience was great. You feel like home, very clean, Nicely renovated. I loved kitchenette idea. So convenient with kids. Cleanliness of hotel was outstanding and friendly staff. Location itself was very good. About 20 mins walk to Dufferin terrace . I highly recommend this place and I would definitely stay there again.

Extremely quiet soundproof rooms, lots of space, friendly staff. Location is excellent, just a short walk away from Old Quebec and several delicious cafes and bakeries. Did not get continental breakfast due to COVID restrictions right now, but the overall interior design and atmosphere make me optimistic about the quality of food.

I do wish the showers had a place to put shower items and parking was a bit easier, but overall had an excellent and comfortable stay.

I would say about 4.5.
PROS:
Good location with lots of shops and restaurants around.
Friendly staff and nice clean rooms without carpet.
Nice décor and very clean.

CONS:
Parking garage across street but small outside lot by hotel on same side of street - $19 or $ 18 per day.
Breakfast is continental for $14.
Busy street and construction out front.

The hotel is within 15 to 20 minutes walking distance to most things in old Quebec. Taking a car around is cumbersome but most of the walks are uphill.

Overall a great stay and we would stay again.

Very nice hotel. Comfortable beds, secure parking was one of the big draws for me. I was happy to have my car safe in a private underground garage.

The lobby is a little dated but I think they are renovating it soon. The room however was very recently renovated and was really nice.

Highly recommended. I will satay again.

I hardly ever leave reviews, but for this hotel I thought I should (especially in light of Covid). It was an excellent experience. The hotel common areas & our room were spotless. The room was massive, the AC quiet, and the beds very comfortable. The staff at the front desk were both very friendly and helpful. Parking was a breeze as they gave us a garage door opener FOB so we could come and go as we pleased. The location of the hotel was perfect for us, about a 20 minute walk to the heart of Old Quebec, though the neighbourhood itself was interesting in its own right (great restaurants, cafes, and shops). Hope to stay here again!

The king suite was perfect for a few nights stay. It had everything we needed, and it was very clean, modern, quiet, spacious and comfortable! Staff were friendly and helpful, language wasn't an issue.

Saint-Roch is a great walkable neighbourhood with lots of amenities nearby. However, if you want to explore the rest of the city (Old Quebec, Saint-Jean-Baptiste, etc) there's an escarpment just past the park around the corner, so expect a lot of stairs or a steep hike.

Tip: the hotel's parking is in another building directly across the street (south side of Charest). Pull over and check-in first to get access.

Very nice hotel. We used the 2nd night free promotion. The hotel is very easy to locate. Room is recently renovated, clean and very quiet (occasionally people talk loudly in the corridor but that’s on them not the hotel). We mainly relied on buses for our trip and there are several bus stops near the hotel that can basically take you to anywhere you want to. There’s a street behind the hotel full of small shops and restaurants, so there are a lot of options. Grocery, pharmacy and bakery is also very close, if you have the need to visit them. Definitely recommend booking them!

We had an excellent stay at the Royal William. The staff was very friendly, the room was incredibly spacious and clean. The hotel has been renovated a few years ago and it shows. Our room was beautiful and the 12-foot ceiling and windows make for a wow effect!

Everything about this stay was fantastic! Excellent freshly renovated hotel in the Saint-Roch neighborhood, which is quite safe (apparently the neighborhood was not 10 years ago, but it has gentrified a lot given its proximity to the train station and Old Quebec).

The bedroom was large and modern. The bed was incredibly comfortable. 100% clean.

It is located on 7 different bus lines, 5 of which take you up the hill to the Old City in 3 minutes. There is also a FREE municipal elevator that you can take to lift you up the hill, just a 6 minute walk from the hotel. No need to pay $4 for the funicular tourist trap in the Old City.

One of the buses also takes you directly to the Montmorency Waterfall.

It is a 15 minute walk to the Gare du Palais train station and the edge of the Old City as well as a 10 minute walk to a Métro supermarket. Both the train station and the supermarket are on the same street as the hotel (Charest becomes Saint-Paul), so very easy to get around.

I stayed in a kitchenette room and used the plates, glasses, and silverware (as well as the dish soap and sponge they provided) and saved a lot of money buying grocery food and eating it while I was there.

I will definitely return to this hotel.

Very clean and modern hotel. Nice retrofit of an existing building. Staff were super friendly and helpful throughout our stay and helped sort out a Google maps error upon arrival. Rooms were very clean and felt safe with covid measures in place. Reasonably close to shopping, food and entertainment. Also a only a brief walk to the old city. Most importantly pet friendly!!
