Love this restaurant! The food is incredible 😋 . The waiter took his time to explain everything about the plate. Very cozy atmosphere. Also, I was informed they change the menu every 6 weeks or so to keep it fresh and use seasonal ingredients. Highly recommend!!

Lovely ambience, and dinner tonight. The portions are perfectly sized. We left feeling well satisfied and not overly stuffed. I was very apprehensive about the number of components to the desserts (I do not recall the names and wish I had made note of them). However, they were quite appealing visually, and tasted great! Very happy overall with this meal and service.

We had the most amazing experience. Fixed menu, with corresponding wines, 8 courses, 3 1/2 hours. Service was great, the waiter asked us multiple times whether we wanted to proceed or wait for a minute between courses. Of course, we waited. Absolutely no rush we loved it. Very interesting menu, expertly executed. Many thanks to the team at Le Hobbit for an unforgettable New Years Eve dinner <3

We had no booking for this restaurant and was lucky to get a table for our early dinner at 5.45pm.

The restaurant had a very cosy ambience with perfect lighting and background music. We were greeted warmly by our waitress Karel who introduced the 3 course menu and answered any questions on the menu. I ordered the soft shell crab to start, roast pork belly as a main and the open sesame for dessert.

The starter was two pieces of soft shell crab, cooked perfectly with the right amount of flavouring accompanied by fennel cooked three ways. Very tasty and recommended if you are a fan of soft shell crab.

Main was roast pork belly accompanied by Parisian gnocchi and parsnip purée. The pork belly and the sauce it was served in went extremely well with the purée and gnocchi as they balanced out the flavour of the sauce perfectly.

Lastly, finished with the orange panna cotta with sesame ice cream. The flavours were intricate and very well layered inside the cake. A great way to finish our meal indeed!

Both Sylvie and Karel looked after us extremely well. Service was immaculate and made our visit here at the restaurant a 5⭐ experience! Thanks to the whole team at Le Hobbit for a wonderful meal!

Brilliant gluten free and gorgeous, tasty, unique menu. Knowledgable about coeliac and created dishes where none were available. Very highly recommended.

The food was amazing BUT it is not your typical brunch restaurant.l, the food has a twist on it but it was well executed.
Our mimosas were perfectly dosed.
The decor is modern and charming.
The service was courteous and efficient.
The food was all super delicious.
Listened to the waiter recommendations and was not disappointed.

I was in such an extravagant establishment for the first time, and they helped me choose what I liked. The young waitress was very attentive and patient, despite the fact that I called her over a hundred times to ask what each dish meant. However, there are a few remarks. 1. The food portion was too large, the meat platter runs out quickly, and then you're not eating delicacies but something unclear made of children's cereal. 2. The drink was wonderful, not having large chunks of ice is great. 3. In this dessert, there was very little ice cream, I like popcorn but this one was not airy at all, I added a photo of how the popcorn should look - all in caramel and airy.

This place deserves 6 stars! The food is absolutely amazing. Things like grilled cucumber with chili seeds blew my mind how well it paired together.
The pasta is a must try too, one of the best things I have ever eaten!
The staff is very friendly and inviting, extremely clean in the bathrooms.
A must try if your in Quebec City!!

Le Hobbit was one of the best meals—from start to finish—we’ve ever eaten. We started with two appetizers… pickled mushrooms and a dish of roasted carrots with pressed bread and lobster sauce. The presentation of the carrot dish was gorgeous but the taste blew us away. One of us ordered the fish of the day and the other a Cornish chicken. Both plates were scraped clean. Although we were pretty full, we ordered dessert simply to see how they would end such a great experience. They did not disappoint (the carrot cake was amazing!) Our waitress was friendly, warm and really fun. I highly recommend it and would make a trip to Quebec City again just for those carrots!

We had Eggs Benedict, BLT, deviled eggs: unique recipes, delicious, presented with style and served fast. 170 cad for 4 but well worth it. Highly recommended.

Excellent for brunch. I had a delicious trout dish, including cheesy tater tots (yum), which sounds odd to have before noon, but it was a tasty protein boost! (See photos) They have outdoor seating, too – which is usually crowded – and which why I had to sit inside.

So, in sum: the food is delicious, the service is impeccable, and the interior is beautiful, with original artwork on the walls. Definitely include Le Hobbit in your foodie itinerary in QC. This is not tourist food. It’s delicious and worth every penny!

We enjoyed our lunch, terrific service. A wonderful French meal. The fingerling potatoes are a specialty. The Turnip soup with pickled carrots a perfect experience.

Stopped by for a birthday brunch and everything was so refined. We loved our dishes and it was so cozy inside. I got the potato waffle with smoked mackerel and it was divine. My partner really enjoyed his braised deer and eggs dish. We also got the trout gravlax and it was delicious! The service was splendid, we got so many water refills.

Had an extraordinary New Year's eve dinner here. Eight course tasting menu with wine pairings, and every course was extraordinary. From the caviar and scallops to the lobster tails and veal, each bite was exquisite, and the wine pairings were perfection. Our server was friendly and very knowledgeable, and we never felt rushed. There is no doubt that we will revisit Le Hobbit next time we are in Quebec. A truly remarkable meal to finish 2023!
