This is a special place for me as it is one of the first little French coffee shops I visited my first time in Québec. I also met my partner here! The food is always good and I love the ambiance. It feels like I’m in Europe as I sit outside underneath a canopy watching people walk by on the old street, Av Bégin. It’s in a quiet little area called Vieux Lévis, a short ferry ride across the St. Lawrence from Old Québec City. They have some excellent desserts, cheeses, meats, European products, and great espresso that they roast onsite! If you want to go where the locals go to buy their specialty foods or for a cup of coffee, this is it. But be prepared to speak French!!

Great local place with amazing meats and cheeses. The bread was also really good. I had a delicious duck rillets sandwich.

A wonderful spot in Old Lévis to stop for an excellent allongé, the Menu du Jour is also very good, I had a delicious cream of carrot soup, a leek and mozzarella focaccia and it came with an allongé and biscuit sablé to finish with perfection. They also have assorted cheese, baguette, bread, quiche and other homemade products that are fantastic, several aisles of européen specialty products and it all comes with friendly service. The person working the counter generously offered to speak English with us.

My French is poor to ok-ish, but I try; the staff actually spoke English just fine, which made things easier for my spouse who only speaks very basic French. The person behind the counter was friendly and helpful; she gave me tastes of bleu cheese from a Quebec frommagerie and tastes of a washed rind cheese [pungent/stinky (in a way that makes me salivate) per my request for their stinckiest cheese] from a French Fromaggerie; they were ridiculously good with a baguette. This was a highlight of my trip, I will return on a future trip to buy more cheese, bread, and duck. They also have some craft beer in the back; this is a very convenient place to get all the culinary "good stuff" in a French influenced location.

Aux Ptits Oignons in Levis is a great store. The staff is friendly and ready to help. The food is good, and their croissants are famous around there - pretty much everyone we saw there was eating one. We got one and didn't disappoint - it was fresh. Their grocery store offers local and imported products - some you won't find in supermarkets. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

Authentic cheese and meat store with gracious service. Any trip to Levis should include a stop here. Good opportunity to use your French but folks are still patient if it is a bit poor. :) Very kind! The true focus is the amazing selection of cheese, meat, and pâtés.

We had a very pleasant surprise when we walked on Begin street. We were starving and thirsty and had just climbed the way up there - if you and walk up that hill, you'll understand. This café is full of wonderful treasures, delicious homemade soups and goodies. Great service, warm and accommodating! Merci!

Great coffee, fresh salads and baked goods. Grab a picnic and head up to the Terasse du Chevalier. The staff was very friendly and super-accommodating to my 7-year old who was trying to practice his French, and to his 37 year old father who was also trying to practice his French :)

We had a very enjoyable lunch here which included a tastie blueberry scone and great coffee. The wall posters make interesting viewing and the service was excellent.

Good coffee, great quiche and epic chocolate chip cookies. Their chocolate chip cookies are by far the best I ever had!

Their plain croissant was satisfying and delicious.

J’apprécie vraiment cette épicerie fine à l’ambiance de quartier. Quelques produits importés de France et d’ailleurs, on y découvre de nouvelles saveurs.
Comptoir boulangerie avec du très bon pain. Les prix sont plus élevés comparativement à une épicerie classique, mais les produits proposés sont dépaysant.

Un bijou du Vieux-Lévis. Une boulangerie, un café, des fromages variés et délicieux, des produits d'épicerie fine qu'on ne trouve nul part ailleurs.
