Great Vibe - staff super friendly./warm Room was excellent! The common areas are lovely and walls are decorated with interesting art - hotel does not feel sterile.

The Continental breakfast set-up is one of the best i have seen in long time.

Location over looking the Bow River was perfect for beautiful walking options,

Great value... Highly Recommend.

This boutique Hotel is one of Calgary’s best kept secrets. all rooms are spacious quiet and are limited to how many rooms they have so it feels like a curated experience. The staff are amazing. They’re willing to go above and beyond it’s close to trails and close to the downtown core.

I stayed at Hotel Arts Kensington for a couple of nights. I arrived during a rainy day with a rental car. The hotel had an underground parking garage entrance located on an eastbound westbound unnamed alley located between Memorial Dr and Kensington Rd on 10 A St NW. There is an intercom to the left to request the access. There were a dozen or so parking spots available for self parking, and there were a few empty spots available to park.

The check in was quite expeditious after I parked as the front desk already had my keys ready. I found the physical metal keys quite charming.

Once inside, I found a king sized bed in the middle of the room. To the immediate left of the entrance was a bathroom with a deep soaker tub. To the immediate right was a closet with a large umbrella available for guest use. As it was raining everyday I stayed here, I was thankful for the umbrella. I also found that the hotel had extra umbrellas by the front desk.

The hotel offered a complimentary breakfast which was simple that was composed of freshly baked bread to yogurt to ham and cheese. There were few pastries available as well. As for drinks, there were orange, apple, and grape fruit juices in addition to a pot of coffee.

As the hotel was walking distance from Kensington Road and nearby trails, I rarely had to drive out during my stay, but when I did, I was thankful for the inclusive self parking garage.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, and I would stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay. Staff was very friendly and always greeted us with a warm welcome.
The beds were very comfy and the room was quiet. Staff even provided us with plates and utensils to eat our pizza.
We will definitely stay again.

It is truly a chic, sophisticated boutique hotel. Simple elegance. Our room had a large bathtub and plenty of soap, shampoo, lotions, and towels. The best feature is the comfort bed. The pillows were perfect! Our room had a fireplace, which gave it a romantic vibe.

Great little hotel ‘home away from home’ feeling. ‘Pre and post hip replacement stay’. Staff were great in anyway assistance was required.

Had a very brief stay here but the whole atmosphere was wonderful.
The room we stayed in was on the corner which concerned me because of the potential for street lights to light up your room, but it wasn't a problem at all!

The shower head was at least 8 feet which was the highlight for me!!

The continental breakfast was wonderful with a great amount of nutritious variety.

5/5

Stayed here 4 nights July 17-21. First of all I would like to thank the staff (front desk personnel, servers in lobby lounge, cleaners) for being so accommodating, welcoming and kind. Check in was a breeze. Was able to accommodate early check in. Also we decided to stay 4 nights instead of the original 2 and Sarah made it work. Marine (sorry if I spelled your name wrong) was also very attentive to our needs. The room was very comfortable and clean. My husband had hip surgery and the staff made sure we were very comfortable. Had snacks in the lobby bar with Marie as our server. Unfortunately we didn't get to try the Oxbow restaurant.
Location is perfect. Lots of shops and restaurants at your beck and call. Next time we are in Calgary I will be sure to book in here. Thanks again for your wonderful hospitality.

Lovely hotel, all the staff are extremely friendly. The restaurant manager ( wish I could remember her name) went above and beyond to take care of us for my partners 40th birthday.

The rooms were very clean, it was quite so easy to get some sleep. Also a GREAT location. So close to many local shops and restaurants and about a 15/20 min walk to the Jubilee.

I highly recommend Arts hotel. 5*

Phenomenal service. Rooms are quiet. Great location. Sarah at the front desk helped us out a lot and May who was our server for 2 nights was amazing. The restaurant is also amazing as well and Chef Myles pumps out world class creations. He even came out to chat with us!

Husband and I stayed here on our wedding night and we loved it! The AC was great, the balcony/french doors are a cute touch, the room was nice! It’s a little small but totally fine for just the two of us. Very modern and beautifully decorated. The front desk was amazing and accommodating as well. Coffee service in the morning is nice.

We had 1 full day in Calgary and decided to splurge on this hotel. We do not normally stay in 4 star hotels but am so glad we did at this one. Underground parking was a huge relief. Great location near the river, great breakfast, amazing room and bed. We will definitely be staying here again if we pass through Calgary on the way to the Rocjies.

I got lost in downtown, and I went into this hotel to use the phone. Miranda was at the front, and she was so kind and helpful. The lobby was beautiful, and from reading the reviews the rooms look even better. If you're looking for a place to stay in Calgary, this would be a great option....for the service, the cleanliness and the beauty. The location is also excellent, you have the river, and downtown, without the noise of it all. Thank you!

Everything about this hotel was AMAZING! Service was above and beyond any service I’d ever had at any hotel ever. The room was beautiful and clean, bed was soft and luxurious, gorgeous patio off our main floor roo
, location is right in heart of so many great restaurants/shops and beautiful walking trails. We only stayed one night but want to come back and spend a weekend exploring, enjoying amazing food and relaxing. Highly recommend!

Just spent a get-away night with my wife here away from kids at home and it was amazing! Service was impeccable and everyone super friendly. Rooms were great in every way and very comfortable beds! Restaurant dinner was delicious. Mostly the atmosphere and environment of the place was so warm comforting and trendy. Would stay again tonight if we could!!

We enjoyed our one week stay at the Hotel Arts Kensington! The location was ideal for us as we could walk to the home of who we were visiting in Calgary. Heated underground parking is provided. The area of Kensington has a wide variety of shops and restaurants which we thoroughly enjoyed. The staff are friendly and attentive. One of our favourite days was biking along the Bow River with the bicycles provided by Arts Hotel Kensington. Each bike was carefully cleaned by the staff and a helmet was included ... all complimentary.
Our spacious room was spotless and very comfortable. We enjoyed the bath products that were also available in a shop found in the local neighbourhood . Although we didn’t use the fireplace, I could imagine enjoying it during a Winter visit. We would definitely recommend this lovely boutique hotel!

The best hotel in Calgary for an intimate stay. The staff is so friendly and accommodating and the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful- the perfect hidden gem. My husband and I stayed here during our wedding and it was the best experience ever. Thank you to Colin, Holly, Milissa and Miles. You guys made our wedding so memorable and our guests were blown away by how amazing your service was. Booking with you guys is the best thing we could have done.

Went for a stay-cation and were not disappointed. The rooms are large and well done. The patio overlooking the river is incredible (wish the weather had been nicer, guess we will just have to come back)!

BUT a very special shout-out needs to go to Nate. He served us in the lounge, then was our waiter when we moved to Oxbow for dinner. The food was fabulous and Nate’s interactions made it an experience not just a meal. We enjoyed his company so much we returned the next night for a nightcap specifically to chat to him.

We recently stayed at the Kensington Riverside Inn for our wedding in July 2014. Mandy was wonderful to organize the room block for our guests as well as coordinating our 2 night stay. We called for an early check-in and they were able to accommodate us and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel delivers breakfast to the room (toast and OJ) each morning and they even had gluten free toast which was unexpected and appreciated. The front desk was very accommodating if we needed anything and everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is perfect and we only had to walk across the street to start our wedding photos. I would definitely recommend this boutique hotel to anyone traveling to Calgary or looking for a romantic night away. There was champagne on ice and rose petals in the room upon our return from our wedding. 10/10!
