Auberge du Vieux Foyer

Good location with beautiful views from the dining room. The staff was friendly et helpful. The food was quite tasty. But I hated the room. We had a comfort room which meant " we had a double size whirlpool " the old fashion tub was totally out of place in a tiny bathroom. The room was furnished with cheap foam like furniture . It looked dated.

Very clean and up to date room in the annex building of the Auberge. The restaurant serves excellent quality food, what we have come to expect in Quebec restaurants. Very large outdoor hot tub, nice pool and sauna. We we're on bicycles and they have a locked storage room for bikes, or in the winter, skis. I would stay again if in the area.

Had a girls time away, July 5th - 7th, 2020. The Auberge is just outside the city of Val-David about 2 1/2 km. It is a beautiful area, in nature. There is a small pond behind the main building and across the street, there is a bigger pond where you can do paddle boats. The rooms are a good size, very comfortable beds, we didn't ask for a balcony, but would next time. We weren't in the main build which I really liked, it was so quiet in the evening. Seeing that I am a travel agent, I wanted to experience all that the Auberge had to offer. If you enjoy the nordic spa, then you will enjoy a similar experience at the Auberge, with its hot pool & cold pool. It was so refreshing! They also have a sauna. We treated ourselves to a massage, it was great and relaxing. Now let's talk about the food :) All I can say, It was AMAZING!!! It was fresh, delicious, and good size portions, You need to try the Black Rock Grill., you won't regret the experience. Just a note: do not be surprised about the lack of paint everywhere, as they only had 3 weeks to open and get prepared, all of the Renos they had planned for the terrasse was not able to be done in time. I highly recommend staying at Auberge du Vieux Foyer.

Really nice buffet style brunch. A step above traditional brunch with better choice and high quality food. Would definitely recommend even if you are not staying for the night to come and brunch here!

Great place to go. It was our third time. There is a big outdoor spa and also a Sauna. The people are helpful and the rooms are clean. We had a package with dinner and breakfast. I recommand the Blackrock tenderloin, you cook it yourself on a hot rock. The breakfast also always suprise us with choices of eggs and pancake. Would definitely come back.

Staying at the Hardy cottage this weekend with a couple of friends. I've been coming to ADVF for a few years summer like winter enjoying cycling on the linear cycling trail Petit train du Nord and cross country skiing on the same trail which is well groomed. I love the large outside spa during the winter when the temperature plumits down to -25C. Four course meals are part of the stay. You have to try the Sunday super brunch. All in all the personal is attentive to your request and very friendly which keeps me coming back.

Such a serene environment. Spent a week to get out of the city. It is exactly what I needed. JL is a great host. Very pleased and will definitely return.

Excellent food and service. We came here for a family dinner and they accommodated us well. I had the Lamb and Escargot and it was really good. I tried some of the Muscles and they were OK.

Excellent value, friendly staff, delicious and substantial breakfast, quality evening "black rock" meal, clean rooms. Just one small gripe; wireless internet was weak.
