This place was a total gem. Clean, private, and well priced.

I came to Val-David to rock climb, and the Obergeinn was a very relaxing and rejuvenating place to return at night. The private room and bath were very modern and nice. The owner was very kind as well!

Check-in/checkout was a breeze :)

Perfect location. Close to restaurants and everything. In the same time it’s very secluded with animals coming to be fed around the auberge. Very clean as well. Owners super gentle and convenient. Will go back.

I cannot say enough about how fantastic this place is embedded on the tree line alone the river that runs through beautiful Val David. I am already considering my next trip in the summer to bike the le petit train du nord where I skied this winter!

We loved our stay! This place is in such an ideal location , close to and easily accessible to everything, yet it feels like you’re in a secluded chalet. The room was a little small but this was made up for by the huge backyard and river access. Guy was super friendly and so we’re all staff members, breakfast was really nice. The only thing missing was maybe a more comfortable recliner or couch to lounge on inside the hotel, there is a small lounge area upstairs though. And lots of options outside like hammocks, but on a rainy day it’s nice to have something more comfy to sit on in your room or in the lounge.

What a lovely place! And what a beautiful, serene setting. Our room was perfect, spotlessly clean and comfortable, with a sweet little kitchen and a view over the lake. Breakfast was simple but good. Obergeinn exceeded our expectations by a mile (several miles).

We stayed here for the Labor Day weekend while out kids were attending a camp nearby. It was the perfect couple’s getaway spot. Observe Inn was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. We loved the experience. Our room was perfect and the grounds were lovely. There was a bbq and deck, sand volleyball, hammocks and the yard is right on the river. There was a spot for bike storage and they had bike rentals. From here we spent our days hiking. First we hiked in the Val David regional park. We recommend trail C. It’s moderate in difficulty and length and the view from the top of Lac Dore is amazing. We also spent two days hiking in Mont Tremblant National Park. We were so happy to come back to our nice comfortable room after our long days hiking. This is such a great area and we loved our stay.

Its a heaven by all means ! Kudos to the owners for carving out such a nice place for relaxing getaway. We stayed there for Canada day weekend. Place is quiet and sparkling clean (Despite shared washrooms) with beautiful outdoor patios and swings.

Fresh inhouse baked croissants for breakfast were amazing !

Will surely go back for longer period !

Same excellent experience as everyone else. Direct backyard access to the river, free breakfast with homemade croissants, really nice backyard patio. What's not to like?

I also want to mention that Obergeinn has 2 Val-David park passes that you can borrow and that could save you $28 if you don't have membership. This wasn't mentioned in the amenities.

Suggestions for the owner, consider getting a climbing guidebook and maybe some crash pads. A lot of climbers come to Val-David. I would have rented a crash pad if they were available for rent.

we had a wonderful stay at the ObergeInn. Room was great (the Loft) and the setting is so beautiful! we really enjoyed evenings around the campfire with our hosts- interesting conversations and music. And we rented kayaks for a paddle down the river - fun easy paddle trip. Everything about our stay was fantastic!

Just to echo all the glowing reviews that everyone else left, this place was amazing - hosts were great, warm breakfast pastries and fruits served every morning was a nice surprise, and all the facilities were kept clean.
Something to note: If you're coming here in the winter, make sure to have AWD/winter tires on your car because there are two small hills that you have to climb to get back onto the main road.

This place is an absolute GEM! the owners have carved out a little slice of paradise and are lovingly cultivating it. This is like a backpacker, but for adults and families rather than youngsters... The communal areas are beautiful and inviting to meet and engage with other guests, the owners are there making food, singing and playing around the bonfire - plus the price is amazing value. Would come back here again and again and again (alas, i don't know when and if will visit quebeq again...)

Clean rooms and washroom. Our room also had a mini fridge and portable AC. Wonderful breakfast and customer service. Spacious backyard to hang around. They also rent kayaks and definitely try it out since they are located by the river bank (but don't go back against the current). Close proximity to Valmorin Murugan Temple and Mont Tremblant.

Lovely room, off the beaten track, but right near all amenities. Nice and quiet. Host very welcoming and accommodating service.

They have bike, kayak and canoe rental.
Minutes from P’tit Train du Nord.

Amazing staff! Keeping this on my regular stays, they helped & accommodated with everything! There's kayaks, canoes, bicycles, fireplaces, barbecues, my 16 year old & I didn't even care our last minute reservation had no t.v., impeccable! 5 stars & 2 thumbs up only place I've been able to say this over the last 3 years and over 50 reviews 😁

We booked it last minute, just tried our luck and were very happy to discover this place. It's a clean, modern place with a family feel to it even during COVID! Sitting by the fire and chatting with fellow visitors was a nice touch. The experience felt a bit like a Spanish albergue visit. We left early and didn't have a breakfast unfortunately. I wish it was served a bit earlier.

5* Oberge. Excellent service. We enjoyed their lovely outdoor facilities. Very clean and felt like home. Breakfast was top notch.

The Oberge Inn was perfect, quiet, clean, and a nestled right near the Petit Train and the quaint town of Val David!
