Perfect bar in Ghent! The ladykeeper is top, the bar is authentic, bold and ther service is perfect. They have a little courtyard at the rear with delightful plants, the atmosphere is really special. They offer typical food and drinks :)

Great whisky and lovely ambience, but the best part is the owner, that's the nicest lady ever.

Nothing beats a stop at this place in winter time. Candles only. Fireplace on. The Calvados is Pere Magloire and served in a more than decent quantity! Betty is a great host!

I could write so much how this place makes me feel, but instead just going to advise yall to visit it and see it in person!

Used to live in Ghent and this is the place my girl and me always have to pass by. This is a nice, quiet, romantic place to go and have a drink so don't come here with large, loud groups or she will guide you to the door.

I was brought to the his quaint cafe by a friend. The reason being that is was entirely lit by candlelight only. The ceilings are decorated with beautiful Rococo scroll work, and the windows open onto a little inner garden. You feel like you're halfway in the past, présent and somewhere quite unique.

The atmosphere is great too. Oftentimes there is a pianist playing classical melodies or a modern tune, or when not in use, the CDs play much the same.

The hostess of the venue is a character and will talk your ear off if she gets a chance. Luckily for me I speak very poor flemish, and even less Dutch, so our Conversation was brief. Her warmth and inviting demeanor certainly put me at ease and ensured I left the venue perhaps tipsily but definitely with a smile.

A bar like no others with an atmosphere in an old street of Gent. Light is dim, candles light the place and a kind lady takes care of you. Sometimes, Friday and Saturday there is some music, a piano and she sings.

Truly lovely place, cozy and welcoming atmosphere. We will be back on our next visit.
