Dr. Birgit Von Hörsten Pédiatre

Dr von Hörsten is an extraordinary paediatrician who stands out for her exemplary care. Her willingness to return phone calls, even in the evening, and her quick responses to enquiries are remarkable. She has an empathetic gift with children, which makes a visit to her pleasant and stress-free for young patients.

What particularly impresses me is her dedication and commitment to taking enough time for examinations and consultations. Dr von Hörsten is conscientious in her diagnoses and offers comprehensive advice.

We are extremely satisfied with her work so far and can highly recommend her as a paediatrician. She is a real asset to the medical care of our children.

I would warmly recommend Dr Birgit having attended her for many years with both our children since birth. I have found her to be incredibly well-informed, supportive, and always respectful of our individual circumstances and choices. My children really enjoy visiting (unusual for medical appointments). I cannot overstress how much her empathy, experience, and knowledge helped our family following a significant medical event. It is a real comfort to have such a trusted source of advice especially when navigating a health service as a non-Belgian national.

Dr Von Hörsten has been the paediatrician for both our children and we have found her to be thoroughly professional, caring and very good with the kids - gentle and understanding of how scary it can be for little ones at the doctors. What we have most appreciated is Dr Von Hörsten’s willingness to address the underlying medical problems with our kids and not just throw medication at them as a short-term fix. We would recommend her for anyone in need of a paediatrician in the area.

I have worked with Dr Birgit Von Horsten for over 7 years. She is kind, caring, compassionate and meticulous with detail. She is also incredibly patient and takes her time to examine her patients, and communicates effectively with the parents. I would have no hesitation in recommending this wonderful paediatrician

Very disappointed in my experience with Dr. Birgit. The creche I took my 2 yr old to advised me to stop going to her since her measurements of my child were so inaccurate. Once she measured him, he was measuring small, and she said "Oh, I might have made him a mistake, just measure him again when you get home." This was extremely unprofessional.

I obviously switched doctors and asked her to send my children's medical records to me for my reference. Despite asking her 3 times, she simply doesn't respond to me and told me I should have everything I need already. Not to mention, she keeps records on pieces of paper (physical paper) that she was always misplacing and we'd spend half the appointment with her trying to locate the paper.

Please save yourself some time and simply to not start with this doctor. Your children are worth someone who actually has their best interest in mind!

Horrible experience chez ce médecin.
J'ai pris rdv pour les 1ers vaccins de ma fille de 3 mois et pour ses problèmes de reflux. Elle a fait descendre mon ami à la pharmacie pour acheter le rotarix en m'assurant que c'etait obligatoire pour entrer en crèche, ce qui n est pas le cas. Elle a ensuite administré un vaccin supplémentaire et dont nous n'avions pas parlé, donc sans me demander mon autorisation, alors qu'il ne fait pas parti non plus des vaccins obligatoires pour entrer en crèche. Par contre, pas de temps pour parler du problème de reflux de mon bébé. C'est en rentrant à la maison et en regardant son carnet de santé que je me suis appercu qu il y avait un autocollant de vaccin supplémentaire à ceux discutés. Je l ai ensuite appelé pour avoir une explication , la dame n'a montré aucune empathie ni désir de rétablir un peu de confiance, juste une inquietude pour elle même qui l a amenée à conclure par un "vous n avez pas de preuve".
Affligeant. Mais surtout très inquiétant, je ne remettrai les pieds dans ce cabinet sous aucuns prétexte.
