Flat White was very good. The intense espresso flavour harmonised very well with the milk and the foam was exemplary. The long black was good, not too strong and not too watery. The banana bread was very tasty. You could clearly taste the banana. It was moist, not too sweet and tasted natural. The apple pie was not too sweet, nicely fruity and went very well with the flat white. The ice cream (lavender) and sorbet (mango) also had a strong flavour and was refreshing. The ambience and the friendly service rounded off the experience. We had a pleasant stopover and would visit again for a coffee. Top value for money.

Exceptional breakfast and lunch venue probably the best breakfast and meals I’ve had in Tasmania! - the bacon egg sandwich was amazing ask for it with coleslaw. The apple cake with lavender ice cream is heaven. Also cute shop with lots of nice things and souvenirs. Definitely a must visit also the staff are super nice and friendly.

A road trip pitstop thats worth the visit even if you're not on a road trip. The big breakfast was some of the best in the country and the savoury pancakes were a hit. The artisanal goods peppered around the cafe were a nice showcase and convenient if you were looking for some locally made gifts. Service was reminiscent of a local diner and made you feel like you were warmly welcomed in someone's home.

Just stopped in for a coffee and quick breakfast on our way to Freycinet for a hike. Grabbed a bacon & egg roll, smashed avo with poached eggs on sourdough as well as two little coffees, was delicious and lovely people working there! A must stop if you are going through or are in Orford!!

We stopped by for lunch on our way to Coles Bay and the food was delicious. The Eggs Benny was one of the best ones I’ve had 😛 We also ordered the Toasted Turkish with everything on it and a chicken salad. The decor was lovely as well.

Eggs benedict(+ House made hashbrown)

😊 Fresh taste with cozy vibe. Hollandaise sauce had a little bit of cheesy flavor which suits good with bacons. And house made hashbrowns were definitely worth it to try. Crispy on the outer side, soft and chewy on the inner side. Perfect spot to stop by while heading to the east coast.

A great pit stop to Coles Bay. Lovely interior and there are seats outside the deck. Coffee and carrot cake are awesome! There are also other items such as candles, pottery and local produce to purchase. Lavender ice-cream also worth trying!

I had the smashed avocado with the best hash browns I have ever eaten. The dukkh was very moreish and it was great that they served it on the side so you could decide where you wanted it. The staff were lovely and it was perfect weather to sit outside and look over and see the water. We all enjoyed our meals and went back the next day. They also had a lovely range of native infused products to buy and bring home. I got the dukkh which has native pepper berry and lemon myrtle in it as well as the quince paste that also had native ingredients.
I would definitely recommend that this is a place to visit if in the area or on your way up or coming back from the east coast.

Stopped by for lunch en route from Hobart to Swansea and had a great brunch. The food was delicious and the patio was lovely - the atmosphere inside was great but it was a beautiful day.

After we had great breakfasts yesterday at Elly’s of Eggs Benedict and Waffles, called in again this morning for breakfast and, this time, we each had an egg and bacon roll. Perfectly cooked fried eggs and bacon on a Turkish roll. Best egg and bacon roll I’ve ever had. Coffee was great too! Highly recommend. Good service as well.

Contrary to previous review, we had an amazing dining experience at Elly’s while driving past this highway stop for a lovely time of breakfast. What welcomed us was a very pleasant lady who greeted us and ran us through the menu offerings. Coffee was amazing, waffles are to die for, eggs benedict tops the cake. A must stop for anyone who passes by.

Delicious home made pumpkin bread and accompanying coffee. All the food looks great.
Everything is home made in this cafe from breads to relishes.
Finishing touches inside is beautiful. Not to mention it’s spotlessly clean. Lots of browsing /little gifts to purchase.
Nice ocean view on a rainy day.
The owner very friendly & gave great advice on local roads.
Thrilled I stopped by.

This was the perfect morning tea stop for my family and I. Coming from Hobart to Bicheno, it was a great stop along the way. Lovely welcoming service, super clean, clean toilets too. Food was delicious, thoughtful and well presented.

Our 3yr old enjoyed the Tasmanian ice cream! We enjoyed coffee, great almond milk, sweet potato fries, carrot cake and fruit toast.

We would definitely stop here for lunch another time.

The staff kindly suggested other nice stops along the way.

Nice little shop with variety of sweets and confectionary that features Tassie local products and some of Elly’s own creations. Their popcorn is a pretty popular icon locally. Limited indoor seating space but generous outdoor seating which makes it tricky in poor weather.

I just moved to Tasmania recently and this became my favourite place to have a coffee and cake. The first one I tried was Sicilian gluten free apple cake. I also love the shop where I spoil myself with regular treats. Last time I bought local Honey, the famous Salted caramel or maple caramel popcorn. They state on the cover it is addictive and they are right! 😊 I always get my coffee to my takeaway cup which I bought in the shop as well. Looking forward to my next visit 😍
