St Gerard Majella Op Shop

I was hesitant to come here after the low reviews but i am glad i did! Ample amounts of parking. When we entered we were greeted by a bubbly lady who showed us where things were located and asked if we needed help or were looking for anything in particular - something Ive never experienced at an Op shop. Lots of things to browse, spent a good 30 minutes here. Much better selection than vinnies or salvos and many unique items. Spent a lot of time looking at the book selection highest priced was $5 which I thought was quite good. Nothing seemed priced too crazy like mentioned in the reviews.

Picked up a cookbook which I havent come across before and would definitely be back!

I regularly shop here and always find the prices very good. The plus is that the clothes are clean and in good shape, the volunteers are lovely and very helpful, and I have found some gorgeous crystal at very good prices, books are cheap and well organised.

Lots of reviews whinging about terrible prices in this shop. Tbh, I didn't see that many prices I thought were high.
Yes $10 for a dress and $15 for a long dress is not what I feel is a good buy, so I don't buy them. There was plenty of other things I saw which were reasonable.
Plenty of parking.
Good amount of stock in various sections.
Outside housed electrical & kitchen ware inside was a whole room of glassware & knick-knacks.
Clothing was less in range than I normally find in op shops but it is a smaller area to house than most op shops.
I found the staff pleasant and would return.

I do a lot of op-shop shopping around Brisbane and this is BY FAR the most overpriced second hand store I’ve come across.

Broken Kmart doll that normally sells new for $8? Well you can get it broken, missing a hand and all her clothes here for $9!

Jigsaw puzzles that are used and bent? $10!

Books that are $1 in every other shop? Here’s they’re $5.

Kmart t-shirt that sells for $7 brand new? Well here it was $12 for some reason and already worn by someone.

Simply awful. There’s many more great second hand stores in north Brisbane that deserve your time and attention

It's a lovely store to visit, but some of the prices are ridiculous!
I go to a lot of op stores, and honestly things are much cheaper at Salvos or lifeline, and they're prices are supposed to be high...
