Kmart Altona

i just wanted to give a shout out to bev, i see her all the time in self checkout and when i need help she’s a absolute sweetheart who deserves a trophy. i hope she knows she doing an amazing job!

In the short time I've lived in the area I've had 3 trips to this store. I have been in many many stores all over the place and the staff here are absolute GOLD!! Each visit I have caused quite some trouble for the poor staff at the checkouts. (Without fail no matter where i shop self service bagging area just yells at me i never get it right n really shouldn't be allowed alone with them. Plus major evoucher trouble. 2 separate visits they won't scan its all frankly a headache for the poor staff who have to help me 4563 times per visit.) I have been approached with nothing but kindness patience even apologies even though it was a clear i was the malfunction. It has taken a team at one point to fix n sort me out. I thank you lovely kind humans for who you are and for being a shining light for my children to witness. You just don't know some times just how much it can mean. My 4 children and i have had a very unstable and scary life changing mind altering kind of time. You wouldn't know it but roughly 20 mins before i was served and helped so greatly last night i had to help my 9 year old who was with me through a very out of the blue panic and anxiety attack. Just getting out of the house can be too much for any of us at any given day its just part of the chronic PTSD and anxiety does but without too much more of our mess ill get to the point. My son suffering a sudden attack obviously as his mum rattles me to the core n i have to do all i can to mask that I'm worried or scared or don't know what to do and deep down wish i had an adult help me adult at that point. My world spins n i instinctively go into disconnect n disassociation mode n im on auto pilot. Your kindness in how you treated me as a customer made a huge difference in my world. Inside i feel so stupid useless can't ever just easily get things done feel like a burden just loads of negative self talk. If you had of been like any staff I've seen before n got snappy or moaned n groaned rolled your eyes or let it be obvious i was a pain in your side or both sides. I wouldn't have been able to see out the transaction. I'd have got my kids close n signalled i need to forget about the things we wanted ad abort mission n I would have had to leave. I have been able to shop n leave feeling warm n fuzzy inside i have nice things in my new house n will slowly add to it as we are starting again from scratch. I don't feel i can't come back i feel excited to return. My son had a bunch of gifts to open for his birthday. You aught to know you make a big difference just from your amazing customer service skills. I can not thank you all enough.💯🛒🙏🦹‍♀🦹 😇🛒🌬

I got the Lightning Mcqueen duplo for Jeremy for his birthday. He loved it except when it got lodged into his throat. He lived though so it was ok. The only real negative was that Timmy wanted one as well so now i'm down $80. Anyways, overall you should come here and get your little ones some lego, (have 000 on speed dial hehe)

Amazing customer service from Falicity on night shift tonight, they went above and beyond to help when my mate and I were looking for an office chair, it’s rare to get service like that.

Haven’t been to Kmart for years. Popped it to buy some odd thing and was pleasantly surprised. Range of product is quite nice. I didn’t go to the clothe area, but kitchen, bathroom and home stuff is really worth to check. I used to buy some small things on eBay, but I learn that Kmart has better quality stuff and at better prices. Love some colour selections. Someone really has started paying attention to what is in demand. Well done Kmart!

Nice and tidy store. Good variety too. I like how everything is well spaced out instead of crammed together. Plenty of room to push a trolley or pram through the racks or aisles.

The staff were friendly and very helpful.

Love KMart anything you need and very affordable.

I would like to thank Felicity for her efficiency, kindness and willingness to help, I have been lucky enough to have Felicity assist me on 2 separate visits to the Altona Gate store. I have not been able to find things on recent visits and she has gone above and beyond to help locate the items for me. I hate the layout as I find things I would like to buy as I am leaving the shop and won't go back to the registers so I think you're losing out on sales. Hervey Bay Kmart have the same set up, but they also have registers at the front of the shop, meaning if I've already paid for my purchases and then find something on the way out, I can use the registers at the front (all self serve). Maybe you should look at that because if it wasn't for the service I got from Felicity and a couple of other staff, I wouldn't be coming back.

Kmart has really improved its clothing. Very impressed with female fashion this year.
Dont like self check out, only one person actually at check out. No staff on floor to assist ( sign of the times)

So happy with this store. I had a waredrobe malfunction on the way into work. It was a easy turn off from the freeway, it was open early, found parking near the door, bought clothes that were not going to break the bank and were professional enough. Used self serve and people in store were friendly. It was quick and easy. Absolute lifesaver today Thank.

Also, Altona gate kmart have most of the stuff in stock and it felt good that KMart track store availability so accurately!

Beautiful kmart.. Well stocked things. My recent experience with kmart had been bad lately due to lack of goods in the shelves but no such problem in this store. All the shelves were packed. Got what I needed didn't went home empty handed.

Amazing staff, Tia helped me throughout my shop and she was a doll! Will be coming back!!!

The staff are very helpful. The checkout robots do not have a mute button. I don't take orders from robots; I'll put an unexpected item in YOUR bagging area.

Its gives you a great shopping experience. Most of the items are really affordable and nice. They have nice clothes and it is always easy for me to get plus size clothes. I love shopping there.

Very busy and shelves are well stocked. Staff are friendly and very rushed off their feet. Great bargains too

One of the biggest kmart in the area. As usual, lots of option and covering most of the house hold needs. From clothing to gadgets, work wear, work boots, winter gear, basic clothing for male, femal, children and kids. Lots of option for cookery items. There is an area for vehicle related items like floor mat, battery jump starter cable, car washing liquid and equipments etc. Various Gardening tools also available. Good place for cheap clothing option. You can buy shoes covering various range. House decoration items are available as well. Bedding, pillow, light furniture etc are available as usual. You can get a new set of fishing gear here. Good place for budget shopping.

I love going to any Kmart, who doesn't love a bargain! This Kmart is I find better than most because the store is never overly busy, and you can get a car park easy
