Drakes McDowall

Ive always thought the big supermarkets create a false sense that we should be concerned about food shortages but when I shop at drakes I'm always pleasantly surprised that stock is never an issue. They also offer products that the big chains just dont have. Knowing that they are always open the same hours each day and that I havent wasted my time getting to the shop to find an item is out of stock is a big reason why I am a returning customer.

Better than the big two. Better prices better range and far better service. Great for parking and opening times are really convenient.

Very friendly team, and stays open on Sundays till 9pm, and some holidays when others are closed. Thanks for putting in the hard work.

Placed a delivery order of several grocery items through Uber Eats and Drakes McDowall had it packed within a few minutes. Incredibly quick and super efficient! AAA+

Best supermarket in Brisbane. Best quality, variety, super friendly staff and specials. Always find a park close to the shop. Open longer hours than the big supermarkets and they have lots of different local products. Best quality fresh produce.

Awesome service, my 4 year old granddaughter loves "sprinkle" slab cake, they done up for her.

Competitive prices, and they are so well stocked! The pet section is pretty good, they have some gardening items, decoration, and heaps of brands to choose from when it comes to groceries. I loved the variety of corn chips they have, never seen such good availability in any other supermarket. The meats they sell are top quality as well, and the staff is always super friendly. Definitely my go-to shop.

Went shopping this morning and I must say, the best service in shopping anywhere in a long time. The staff are wonderful. I bought 5 bags of 20kg pool salt and the lovely young lady who mostly serves where the cigarettes are sold, she called a young lad to assist me to unload the shopping into my car. 10 stars to the lovely young lady, she is an asset to this store. Also thanks to the young male employee who helped to load the salt bags into my car.

These guys don’t close early on Sundays like Coles and Woolies and it’s a god send when I’ve forgotten something. Be aware this is a pretty old fashioned supermarket and there are no self-serve registers so be prepared to talk to someone at the checkouts.

Did a quick shop here as I was passing through.Staff were polite and accommodating, particularly as I had Left my wallet in the car.

Great place to shop. Low stress environment and a good range of groceries, fresh meats and deli. Love it!

Love this grocery store, the staff are always lovely, it's usually pretty well stocked and has a great selection of vegan treats which is a huge bonus.
This is where I go to for my usual grocery shop, has everything I need, local and customers are treated well.

This shop has all we have needed and a few different things from the big 2.
Staff are friendly and helpful. It's a favourite place to do our regular household shop.

Had not been to this store for a while. Very impressed with the difference to Coles and Woolworths. Prices are competitive, and meat quality has improved. A good range of new products and precooked options. Staff efficient and friendly. Will definitely return.

I have recently switched to shopping at Drakes McDowall as I was so fed up with Coles & Woolies substandard delivery service & lack of concern from their staff.

I cannot fully express how very happy I am with the service, cost & quality of groceries from Drakes.

Today my online order was delayed due to an issue with their drivers, so the Drakes’ staff delivered it to my door. When I phoned to enquire about the delay they were so polite and apologetic & then delivered it themselves as they had promised!!! I cannot believe the personal service, I feel like a valued customer & it is just delightful! Will definitely be staying with Drakes!

I live across the road from Taigum Square , but we came to drakes 2 months ago and keep coming back ,the Quality and price , is second to none

Excellent customer service. Huge range of products. Well priced. Best fruits and vegetables compere to woolly or coles.
Very good meat and poultry selection.
Very good delicatessen and cheeses !
