If you have longer feet then this will become your happy place. Only shoes from size 10 and up and Carol keeps a wide variety of different styles from sneakers to glitz. She will even keep an eye out for shoes that you specially want when she’s ordering. If you order online, the parcels arrive with sweets and gorgeous gift wrap. When you visit in person, you are always greeted with a smile (and sometimes a wee woof) and Carol and the staff understand the issues with longer feet and happily let you try on numerous styles. If you don’t find anything that fits there’s no pressure to buy something that doesn’t suit. It’s like taking an honest girlfriend shopping. These people will become your friends. A warning though: Carol gets new stock delivered regularly so you’re at risk of needing new shoes all through the year. For the first time in your life, you will love shoe shopping - and that’s hazardous :)

This is a one-of-a kind shoe boutique with a one-of-a-kind owner! Carol has filled a huge hole in the shoe market, by sourcing shoes for longer feet! I had despaired over ever finding any shoes, let alone beautiful ones for my size 11/12 feet but not now!! Plus you are in for a treat if you visit her gorgeous boutique - beautiful service & a wonderful atmosphere! And the same when you order online! Each pair of shoes comes beautifully wrapped, like a special gift just for you! No problems with returns, she regularly blesses her customers with gift vouchers & the piece de resistance is that she supports a charity, from each of her sales, that does microloans for women who wish to start a business to help their families!

I’ve been going to The Shoe Garden for years. Carol’s concept was a godsend in the wilderness of shoes for large sizes back then with only a small number offering large sizes in stylish shoes. I still have one of my very early purchases - a distinctly Scandinavian styled lace up in contrasting pinks and high block heels!
Carol along with first her tres chic assistants - aka CC the Maltese and now Princess (Maltese-Shizhu) welcoming customers and pressing the paw during the experience - really understands customer engagement and relationship building. Her philanthropic endeavours are also making a difference with a portion of most sales diverted accordingly via Microloan Foundation, benefiting deserving communities in regional Africa. Carol is also very invested in her local community.

I LOVE the Shoe Garden, for once I am not made to feel like " an ugly step sister" when I ask for a size 12 shoe...I am now treated like Cinderella. Have purchased two pairs of beautiful Frankie4 shoes from Carol at the Shoe Garden now and have been super impressed with her service. I ordered both online and the turn around time from me placing the order to getting the message from Carol to say they could be picked up was so fast. She was lovely (as was the sweet little dog in the shop) when I went to collect my shoes and the little touch of lollies in the box was really sweet. For the first time, myself and my mum decided that it was finally time for me to indulge in shoes that weren't closed in unisex shoes. I loved the cottagey aesthetic of Shoe Garden and I was greeted with a plethora of beautiful looking summer sandals and shoes. For the first time I felt comfortable actually wearing the shoes (I'm women's size 12) as I've always gone a size or two down for the sake of convenience. Never again! Carol was super nice and I'm very excited to come over again!

While travelling up on the north Queensland coast I saw a pair of shoes I loved that were not in my size. I searched the brand (Rilassare) in Brisbane area, and lo and behold, the only store that came up (The Shoe Garden!!) was 20 minutes walk from where I was staying! AND! They catered specifically to larger feet, like mine! I could not believe my luck. From there it just got better. They had the brand I was looking for in various styles and colours. I bought two pairs and returned two days later with my sister, and bought two more pairs of shoes (different brands). Since this awesome discovery, I have bought (shhh) nine pairs of shoes/boots. Nine. And I don't know if I'm quite done yet.
There's no reason to go anywhere else now, really. Carol and her staff/helpers are knowledgeable, friendly and offer great customer service. I know there's a very slick online purchasing option, though i've never had to use it as she's so close by for me, but I know others who have used this service and are equally impressed with the service and the products.
The shoes and boots I've purchased are all fun and fantastic and wear really well. Any guilt over purchases is easily brushed aside knowing that I am contributing to Carol's quest to help women in Africa start their own business through the MicroLoan Foundation Australia donations (a percentage from every sale). I am excited every time I put on any of these shoes or boots I've bought and nearly always get comments on them. Still can't believe my luck with this rather random and serendipitous discovery. The Shoe garden is a small boutique for sizes 10+. The decor is luxurious, the little dog that sits in her desk (CC) is friendly and so cute, and there's a great variety of shoes for all ages and interests. Carol, the owner, is also fantastic, and is always ready with personalised service and a friendly attitude

Usually I hate shoe shopping because they never have my size but there was such a wide range of shoes which fit me in here, really pleasantly surprised. Staff are lovely, prices are good and shoes are in nice styles too, recommend a visit if you have size 10 or above feet!
