Opal Cave Shop

A visit at Tina’s Opal Cave Shop when staying at Coober Pedy on my way back from the Red Center was a high light of my travels. I’m a gem stone lover, and my heart was filled by the lovely couple that run this shop. So much choice for every budget! Then a great demo of how a raw stone gets polished into a unique jewel by Tina’s hubby, who’s passion and opalholism made it extra special. Thank you for the beautiful opals I will wear with special memories 💕

Trevor was friendly and inviting. Even after we returned several times after looking elsewhere first. Even encouraged me to order a blanket off vista print with one of my own photos as a gift for my mum rather than purchase a small souvenir gift from him. Great service.

The Opal Cave is a wonderful family owned business that has a lot of history in the busy mining town of Coober Pedy, great location right in the heart of the hustle & bustle of the main street, set amongst various set pieces from blockbuster movies filmed in and around the town it is a great place for tourists to escape the heat & browses some world famous Opal jewellery. A GO - TO if you're visiting Coober Pedy!

Trev is amazing!
We were here in the morning and had the pleasure of Trev explaining cutting and polishing a stone… the kids were so inspired that they raced out and went opal hunting.
Thankfully they found a couple of great stones which Trev for a small fee cut and polished for them. A great souvenir from Coober!

Loved this place bought a ring 220$ in sept. Unfortunately opal has fallen out. Cannot find it. Only had it 2 months. Will call them tomorrow. Disappointed
