Two Penny Blue

I’ve tried mocha from other coffee shops but nobody else beats the mocha that Two Penny Blue serves. Their mocha became my standard ever since and I literally never settled for anything less. Plus, they’ve got very friendly and cheerful staff! Two Penny Blue is absolutely the best!

Although there is a table and two little chairs out front, don't come expecting a long and leisurely visit. It's primarily a takeaway spot with great drinks! ☕

Fantastic coffee and love that they are open a bit later than other coffee places in the CBD. The service is great as well - always with a smile

Had more than one great coffee from here over a couple of days and it was consistently great. Service was excellent too!

Small hidden little cafe with great coffee and an amazing service

Two Penny Blue is becoming a daily habit. They serve a fabulous house roast that works for me perfectly. The muffins are house baked and while likely not very good for you they are easily the best blueberry muffin in town. Great team, always busy but never too busy to smile. Terrific way to start the day.

I want to say thank you so much to Meg who came to the rescue when my husband had a very bad fall on the road in the front of Two Penny Blue. She and Irene gave us plasters and tissues as he had many abrasions. They were so very kind and helpful and it was much appreciated.
We sat down after that and enjoyed an excellent coffee. .

Great coffee to get on the go. Also, some of the best cafe made hot chocolate you can get in the city. Really nice small snacks available as well. Possibly the best coffee in Martin Place.

Possibly the best cookie I’ve ever had! The triple chocolate salted cookie is amazing! Worth every calorie.

Coffee is also good and quick and friendly!

Coffee is really good, especially the mocha - actual melted chocolate as opposed to the stuff they serve at Gumption. Food is really good too - quite like the pesto chicken zaatar, goes well with a coffee! Staff are really nice to chat to as well - recommended!

Nice little coffee / breakfast place built into the side of the historic GPO building (on Pitt Street side right off Westin entrance). Good coffee (Colombian beans which I believe are the some of the best in the world) and nice/quick breakfast options to go. No seating available so grab a coffee and bite and head over to Martin Place for a place to sit. Overall nothing stands out about Two Penny Blue but worth trying for their breakfast options

I have never had a bad coffee and don’t think I ever could! Best coffee in Martin Place hands down.

Update 29/11/16: So today I bought a small strong cappuccino each from Gumption (Strand arcade), Two Penny Blue (Westin hotel) and Batch (near corner of Pitt and Hunter streets).

Batch has the strongest flavour and a bit of acidity, and I think it was the best among the three.

Two penny blue's has very little acidity and was slightly sweet without adding sugar, and the flavour is weaker than Batch.

Gumption, although having a bug hype, was the weakest, and it lacks flavour, aroma, acidity, and texture. It feels very watered down.

Great coffee and friendly service! I have been a regular customer for over two years and can highly recommend Two Penny Blue!

Best coffee in the city. Come here every day for the office run. Will never go anywhere else. The staff are also the best
