A good stopover between Brisbane and Byron Bay. It has food, fuel, restroom everything drivers need.

was there to break the journey home from Brisbane. Assistant seemed to have no patience with my friend...told to hurry up. As I said just a convenient place to stop.

We've been stopping at the BP at Chinderah for over 10 years (whenever we travel from Brisbane to Coffs Harbour) and to this day I'm still waiting for the first example of drinkable coffee being produced from the Wild Bean Cafe there. It's not that I think that the quality of ingredient being used is likely bad. It's more so the insistence that the coffee be served hotter than the surface of the sun.

Is this a characteristic that Wild Bean prides itself on? I've purchased absolute mouth scalders from their other outlets as well. I can't speak for the next guy, but I like to be able to drink my coffee within the first hour that I buy it. And when the heat finally dissipates, you can be fully confident that the coffee will taste bitterly acidic as a result of being burnt to a cinder. Why does it have to be this way I wonder? Is there any hope for change?

On the plus side, the raisin toast on my most recent visit was good and the new graphic design for WBC is a big improvement.

Now that the mini dog park has been removed from the Chinderah BP, I can't see us having any reason to stop there in future. Alas, I shall never know if they eventually produce their first good brew.

This stop is located in an ideal spot and business comes from those who are travelling South. The service was a let down as Breana, the cashier girl, seemed so unhappy to be working. Her tone expressed her dissatisfaction and her body language did not help. This was also the case with the guys making and handing the coffee. They simply called your name, handed you your coffee and did not acknowledge you. This is poor form! The only saviour was the nice coffee they made.

1030 am 20/10 Chinderah- worst customer service ever! Asked for my iced latte in a paper cup as that’s how I like it! I’ve never had any issues at any other wild bean or coffee shop, yet the guy serving me acted like I was asking for him to give me his first born child. When I asked why I couldn’t have a paper cup he was rude and wouldnt give me an explanation just wanted to exert his dominance. I ended up feeling so uncomfortable that I left without buying anything let alone a coffee. Maybe he’s allergic to paper cups or they cost extra, in which case I would have been happy to buy a paper cup and pour the latte into it myself if he hadn’t been so blatantly rude and uncompromising. He basically refused to serve me over a simple request, he didn’t offer another option and was happy to see the back of me. Like I’m some sort of Karen for wanting a paper cup.

A heads up for those who couldn’t possibly know from lack of signage...
It’s “self serve”!
After a while (a long while) the staff stop standing around looking at you to tell you that it is, in fact, “self serve”. Then, when you make your selection, there are no staff to actually serve you ... they’ve all disappeared (or so it seemed).
When you do finally get your food it all tastes just a little bit plastic ... certainly not recommended.

Regarding Wild Beans reply, “ We hope you have a better experience upon your next visit.”
You’re kidding right!

Omg the WORST customer service recieved 5.august at 12.48. Please check your camera and see how the workers run so they dont serve us. I had to go out of my way to get served and then recieve this terrible customer service by this boy. I would not of made my purchase but my special needs son has been craving for a doughnut and i did not want to make him upset. Seriously treat people with respect.

I took my reusable mug here to get a coffee and they refused to use it to make my coffee.

The lady said it was because there wasn't a lid and people will hurt themselves. There was also no manager on duty to speak to about it.

Would give zero if I could. Worst ever coffee with grumpy staff. Soggy banana bread and thawed out muffin was dough in the middle. Bloody disgusting. 2nd try was worse than first . Never again will now drive off the road to support a local with good quality
