Blue Water Motel

What a little gem, initially wasn’t keen on paying the extra for our dog but ended up very happy, you can see the extra expense that has been spent on this place to make it pet friendly and it’s retro look and feel was so great!! The free sparkling and filtered water a really nice touch too. The lady at reception was also a gem, absolutely perfect person to front the place!!
Loved the sneaky TV and the shampoo and soaps in dispensers a clever idea and smelt delicious!!
I’m so glad we stopped.
I tried to feed the pelicans but they weren’t hungry today!!

We had the most relaxing 5 night stay with our 2 Chihuahua girls, Pippi and Hera. The bed was so super comfy, the room was hygienically cleaned(fresh towels, face washers and bath mats etc daily), and decorated beautifully. The owner and all the staff were very welcoming and our dogs loved everyone. So great to have the dog beach so close too. We loved everything about The Blue Water Motel and will definitely be back again! We felt so much at home that we didn't want to leave! Thoroughly recommend to all doggy owners!

We've stayed here for many years and were a bit worried with all the changes ... oh boy did we get that wrong. Its been gloriously renovated with love and care (incl the best bed I've slept on). Our border collie got way too much attention! We will be back soon.

Really sweet motel, love the vibe. Even my very fussy teenager loves it! Free bike and surf board hire was great, short distance to the beach, cafes and shops. Management are lovely and very helpful. Great having the communal kitchen for when the kitchenette doesn’t cut it. Already booked for next time.

This was the perfect long weekend escape for my husband & myself. It was made even better knowing we were able to bring our little furry friend Buddah. (Completely pet friendly)
The location is perfect, amenities were perfect and the cleanliness was amazing.
The accommodation and grounds are very well kept and you can see they take alot of pride in their business.
The 3 of us will definitely be back !!!

Saw this motel and had to book. I would summarise it by saying "Retro Revival with Luxury Comforts." Loved the extra touches like Malin & Goetz toiletries, Byron Bay artisnal teas, Robert Timms Coffee bags, Husky fridge, large flat screen television and crisp, clean good quality bed linen. There is a gorgeous communal kitchen that has microwaves, irons, high chair, huge communal fridge, still and sparkling water on tap and extra crockery and cups if needed. Oh and did I mention there is a pool. We will be back. Perfect mini break spot. Well done to the designer and Claire from the management team who runs such a fabulous motel.

it’s a cool place to stay. there is a communal kitchen (did you see how the filtered water and ‘sparkling’ water is served on ‘tap’? lol. love it!) The people there are helpful and hospitable. the tea, coffee and herbal ‘bags’ offered in the room are specially selected like the whole place. it may be a 3 star rated motel under some ‘rules’ but i had a 5 star plus experience stay there just for one night over a month ago. yes i still think of its quirky nice bits and smile.

What a great stay! We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place! Only a very short walk to the beach and great amenities on site. The rooms are really nice, clean, well designed and extremely well thought out. Would happily stay again!

I’m staying here right now and the place is so great. Beautifully designed rooms. So clean! We are staying in the queen room or queen suite can’t remember which one I ended up booking but one of the smaller rooms and it is still very roomy and I really love the big window that completely opens up to create a inside/outside breakfast bar. Whoever did the redesign of this motel has done such a great job. Obviously very detail oriented all the way down to the selection of plants in the gardens. The BEST part is they allow 1 dog per room so I got to bring my dog with me which is so great. Will absolutely be back!

Was a great overnight stay at Blue Water Motel. The decor was outstanding as well as the amenities. The 24/7 kitchen was fantastic, especially because we have a baby so it was really easy to cook/heat up food for him and appreciated the highchair. We ate in the well landscaped courtyard and appreciated the soda water on tap. Would give more stars if we had the option! Staff were really friendly and helpful.

I stayed here with my husband and 2 young children. We all really loved the motel. The staff showed us amazing service and were both really friendly. The rooms were really clean and comfortable. The beds were honestly the most comfortable that I have slept in. Really nice quality decorations in the room. I would definitely recommend this motel if you are passing through. Definitely worth a stay

This is a really stylish little motel. The people who run it have thought through the whole experience from the customers point of view. Very rare for a motel! Super friendly service. I’ve seen motels that get four stars just for being vaguely clean. This is a whole other level.

What a location! This motel is awesome. My husband and I came for a long weekend, with the dog!
I had a great night's sleep. The beds are super comfy. The staff are friendly. I think every little detail has been thought of? Yeah, the shower sprays everywhere in the bathroom, making it flood, but sometimes you just have to take the good with the bad? There's a communal kitchen, where everything HAS been thought of. And there's a pool, but why would you when the beach is just across the road?
The decor is retro, super funky. Very stylish.

We loved this place! Can’t wait to stay again! So close to a quiet beach that’s got lifesavers. The rooms are gorgeous but still have that retro motel feel. Parking was great, check in was easy. The facilities like a pool, communal kitchen and seating areas were amazing. They’ve really thought about every little detail and it’s appreciated. The owners were super lovely. Loved every minute of our stay

Absolutely loved this accomodation for a birthday weekend away. Paid an extra $50 to bring the dog as they’re pet friendly . The location was great, the room was beautiful, smelt clean and had nice decor. Really affordable. technology and appliances all modern as well !

The Blue Water Motel in Kingscliff is the perfect beach getaway. The rooms are clean and spacious, beautifully renovated but still showcasing the retro features of the old Motel, and the location is close to many local restaurants and shops and of course the beach. The motel has great facilities, including a beautiful outdoor pool, communal kitchen and a BBQ area. Highly recommended! Highly recommend.
