There is a men's fashion store in Wynnum that is an absolute gem.
Remember a time in history where store presentation and service was the pinnacle in reputation and that naturally flowed on to the different array of products that were beautifully layered and arranged in the store your were warmly welcomed in.
Well, welcome to Sonny Jim. I fell instantly in love with this place, it has everything that a male needs and everything else I thought I didn't need.
From a Bike Tube Repair Kit to the latest fashions that can only be sourced by looking beyond the norm and finding items and clothing that you could not find anywhere else.
The owner has meticulously chosen items that represent a changing world in recycling, reusing and benefit the world communities that create the fashion it comes from.
Quality is what you see when you first walk into the store, followed quickly by 'different.' A good 'different' where you will find items that you will not find anywhere else. So if you are looking for a special gift for your man or you're a male like me that wants to wear that item of clothing or accessory that you won't walk past on someone else, then you really need to visit Sonny Jim.

Today I bought a stylish pair of quality dress shoes and a nice collared shirt from Sonny Jim. I’ve been buying clothes from here for a couple years and they never disappoint. The service is exceptional as is the value for money. Not only that they are entirely unique in the Bayside. You would have to travel far to find anything remotely comparable!

Amazing collection of menswear especially shirts - The John Lennon styles are best I've seen. Customer service is top notch. We are very fortunate to have Sonny Jim in Wynnum Central.

First time visiting this beautiful men’s boutique clothing store. So trendy and cool, honouring the Australian brand. Exceptional customer service, so helpful. Can't wait to start shopping again for the men folk in the family this year. Karen and Jesse help me out every time I visit. When I walk in the door the greeting from them is so very sincere. They really appreciate you as a customer. My husband looks at me funny when they welcome me by name, but hey, there are a lot if men folk in the family. Love supporting my local businesses.

We have just had the most sensational shopping experience in Wynnum! Exciting new menswear store Sonny Jim is carrying high quality and interesting (mostly Australian brands) clothes, shoes, hats and accessories! Bought several gorgeous short and long sleeved men's shirts and my 17 year old a really great pair of shoes. Karen and her son Jesse (the two owners) gave friendly and fantastic service. We will definitely be returning to buy Christmas presents. Lots of pieces that you won't be seeing in other stores. I hope they do exceptionally well.

I had been noticing Sonny Jim's for many months and wondering if it wasn't ahead of its time for Wynnum, a move to quality . Finally I went in needing some very specific , nice shoes and a jacket that I had failed to find even in Sydney and CBD Brisbane and Caringdale Westfield with all the hassle of crowds .
Amazingly I found exactly what I needed at SJ and the service was outstanding . Its quality! But the prices are reasonable for that quality . The buyer's taste is excellent . And Karen will order in samples , goes the extra mile .Wynnum needs a place like this , even if you only go in once or twice a year, it is a total winner .

Just walked past Sonny Jim. Like most males I hate shopping for clothes, so I was reluctant going in. Gained the courage to make the plunge, and I'm glad I did.

The son and mum owner who helped me find some work chinos and a jumper were amazing to deal with.

It's really hard to find convenient, decent quality and old school service these days. So thanks for making my shopping experience an enjoyable one.

Warm and welcoming service - very helpful and I did not feel like I had walked into a trap, something I have experienced elsewhere. Sonny Jim is a surprise, its classy, and there are many fashion choices to make. It’s a bit like a slice of history, with a modern twist and very good quality products. If you are ever in Wynnum make a point of stopping here - its a great experience. I will be coming back for more!

A brilliant shop that has moved from Brisbane Arcade to the Bayside. What a delight to find Karen and her GORGEOUS range of menswear, leatherware, Hats and all things stylish.

From a history of working outside to moving to more civil attire Then living in Wynnum The previous go to place was not quite offering the range or the fashion and then it closed a few months ago. Then I discovered this place. The window dressing caught my eye as nothing had presented like this for a while. Inside was a treat. Lots of quality, muchly Australian attire with a difference. Head to toe. Tasteful, and with a broad range of styles, and interesting accessories, I noted a leather bow tie and a unique range of characterised sox and "smalls". The service is caring and helpful without the tentative "lunge and pounce" sometimes experienced when buying clothes. The layout is inviting and worth a visit if you are seriously shopping, or just strolling down the street.
I have shopped in many shops boutiques and fine clothing stores in a variety of countries but it has been a lot of visits without seeing one like this. A credit to Wynnum's development strongly recommend a visit. it just may save you a trip into a much more crowded, stressful location or even a few, closer to town. You won't be disappointed.
