Golden Dragon Asian Grocery

I love this shop. I have been shopping here for years as my local. I don't understand the negative reviews about small selections and expensive as they are a small business (with limited stall space and only operate during market days). I always manage to find what I need including hard to find ingredients/products. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help =)

I'm surprised by the low star ratings. I love this shop and come almost every week while I'm at the market. They have a great range of fresh refrigerated noodles and tofu. The sauces and spices range is huge for a small shop, every time I've asked for something they've had it in stock and have been happy to help me. They also ALWAYS have the best, most fragrant fresh coriander and crisp spring onions in the whole market. I would be lost without being able to a grab my tofu and sauces here! Friendly staff. Good selection of noodles, sauces, fresh Asian vegies, etc. Clean and well organised. Very conveniently located in the middle of the South Melbourne markets. If you need Asian ingredients without needing to travel to the city, this is a good option.

All the staff there are very respectful and polite. I love shopping there.

Nice people, always made effort to make conversation, hear they've had a renovation recently as well

Able to find difficult ingredients with friendly help from the owner. My new go to place for Asian spices.

Lots of east asian products, the usual condiments and sauces are readily available. Prices are pretty reasonable.

SMALL ASIAN GROCERY STORE AT SOUTH MELBOURNE MARKET
Mostly dried / packaged goods and jars and bottles but a small range of fresh asian vegetables as well. Good for those hard to find curry powders, Malaysian and Thai sauces and curries.

Good selection of traditional Asian foodstuff, sauces and spices.

I bought 2 items that cost $2.95 as appeared on the weighing register. The cashier was not aware I actually saw the cost of $2.95 on their weighing register. I was told there would be an extra charge for using debit/credit card, so I said I would pay in CASH then. The other cashier LOUDLY said "10 cents only". I gave a $5 note to this first cashier and she gave me back $1.95 i.e. 10 cents short. Not nice!!!

The Young Lady Cashier(Staff) who works here is very Rude & Disrespectful!! Worst Customer Service Ever. She even said to me she’s the daughter of the shop owner so she doesn’t care!!! I will never ever Recommend this Place!!! Worst Customer Service Ever!!! Don’t waste ur money on this place!!!Rude & Arrogant Cashier!! Very Bad Experience from this store!!! Worst
