Dan Murphy's South Melbourne

Store was extremely well set out and the male staff member that assisted me was super knowledgeable and went out of his way to make sure I received what I was seeking. The Dan Murphys store is by far the best one that I have visited over the years and highly recommend this store to everyone.

I just had the most incredible customer service at Dan Murphy's South Melbourne. It was next level, friendliness, expertise and just overall good vibes. I haven't experienced that ages! The team there made my day, thank you 🙏🏼

Amazing customer service. I purchased a bottle of scotch over 4 weeks ago and left it on the counter. I put it down to my own stupidity and didn't bother contacting the store. On returning today I checked if any scotch was discovered. The staff checked the cameras and found my wayward bottle and replaced it without question. I am still amazed that they would make the effort. Very much appreciated.

Really nice staff. Just went in to get beer but got offered a whiskey taste testing.

I really want to give a shout out to DM's South Melbourne. I work locally and go in 2-3 times a week and every single time without exaggeration, every member of the team has always been super friendly and helpful from entry to exit. Today's experience was no exception, and a special mention goes to AWS!!!. I had not even entered the store yet and he approached me in such a friendly manner outside, you could not resist chatting to him. He asked me what I was after, and offered his assistance (again not even in store). He provided me with very useful suggestions for reds and whites, and I was really blown away. So much so, as I was leaving the store, he was coming back in and came to me specifically to ask my name as I got his but never gave mine. I have had varying experiences in different DM stores, but this store and team should be the poster child for how it is supposed to be done. Training and development should be created by this store's business model. Don't get me started on Watergarden's, that's all I'll say. GO DM SM!!! Recognize and reward these perfect individuals, because in 3 years, it has been consistently ground breaking.

We've shopped at Aldi in South Melbourne many times but never ever thought to drop into Dan Murphy's, right next door so this was our first time visit to this store and wow! It's a very impressive uncle Dan's with a large and extensive range of wines, beers and spirits and from both low to top of the line prices. There's something here for everyone's taste and pocket! The staff is supper friendly, very helpful and exceptionally knowledgeable about the range in store and the customer sevice given to us, this being our first time visit, was first class. The store is in a great South Melbourne location with convenient free 2hr parking in the carpark directly above the store.

Haven't been here for a while, but they have recently had a huge make over. Including a huge range of beers, most of them in fridges on display.

Highly recommend having a look, as there are beers I've seen here, that aren't avaliable at other Dan Murphys nearby.

Great range! Great opening hours! Conveniently located next to Aldi, Australia Post and close to Woolworths! Parking upstairs and is usually free for the first two hours or you can also park across underneath Woolworths centre for first two hours for free.

Best place to find wines and liquors. Very wide variety of wines n liquor collection you can find here with good price. Service is always good. The staffs always happy to guide you.

Amazing service from Lili the Manager, i really appreciated her assistance as guidance on varietals and tastes. She also helped me take everything to the car. Thank you Lili.

Went in to pick up a bottle of wine. Needed some help, one of the attendants was incredibly helpful. They were very easy to talk to and knew a lot about the wines. Felt a bit like I was talking to someone doing a wine tasting. Super informative and in the end I ended up buying a lovely bottle of Grenache that they had recommended.

Their staff members are really helpful.

My frequent local bottle shop, wide range of drinks available, after renovations it is much cleaner now, looks wider too, friendly staff

Good service. I found it hard to locate what I wanted though. There were many workers but not many that felt approachable. Great deals as always but some items did not have any pricing tags and that made my beverage drinking decision a bit more challenging. I am glad to see that they check IDs here. I have been to many other Dan Murphys and they let any age person in. It is refreshing to see them uphold the legal age and the law.

Great value for money alcohol spot! The wine selection is wide and good, and they have an entire range from cheap to pricey. It's also a short walk away from the main South Melbourne market, so you can easily swing by after dropping by your morning market run.

I know it is only Dan Murphy’s but this store simply goes beyond being just your standard liquor store. Every time we have gone in, especially since their new revamp, the staff have been exceedingly professional and friendly which makes me feel good every time I walk into the store. #settingstandrads
