South Melbourne Market Grocer

Our favourite place to shop!!! The owner Roy (yes we know him on a first name basis) is such a lovely man. Prices are great and he has a selection of products ranging from all around the world. This place is a Melbourne Icon and a must go for everyone who visits the market.

Really good prices and a large variety of grocery items on offer.

Good selection of drinks that you don't normally come across in a regular supermarket, good prices on them as well. Everything else though seemed a little bit too overpriced

The price is reasonable

Was drawn in by there outside stall. Entered shop and within minutes was accused of knocking off a jar that had fallen off a shelf, no where near myself. The older plump man said it in such a rude and shocking tone I couldn’t help but tell him how rude that felt and that I was now leaving. His response was that we all have a lot of tension. Well I didn’t - UNTIL THEN. Was having a lovely day til that moment.

Products are close to use by dates and very expensive for what they are claiming as imported goods. Check out cheaper buy miles.

Although he seemed like a nice guy, the owner sold me a myki card but didn’t activate it, this rendering it useless and took $20 off me for the privilege.
