Craft Coorparoo

It’s the last Sunday of the AO. A hot humid morning with 29mm of precipitation. I planned to cash in my Craft voucher from Secret Santa. Finally. LOL. Coffee at Straights first, where we ran into the beautiful young Maddy, who used to work at Craft and then the short hike to the Craft store in Coorparoo.

We started chatting with Elliot Baker who writes for the Gourmet Traveller. His review of a restaurant in Mapleton had just been published. It’s the way it is for us at Craft. We always have a good social talk and a laugh with Mel (soon to leave for the Sunnie Coast), Chris ( he’s old enough to remember The Sultans of Swing by the Dire Straits), Rowan ( he’s still hoping I will like any of the beers that are up for tasting) and Elliot ( if he’s not at the store or on assignment for the GT, you’ll find him at the members only at the Gabba watching a Lions game).

The team does their best to source beautiful wines for us we had at restaurants lately, and indulge us in crusty bread at times or even a taste of a wine from their private collection.

The store has a great collection of beers, ciders, spirits (even sake!), sparkling wines, Champagne and of course wine from all over the world. Did I mention Etna Biancos. Maybe not, but you can source them here. And what about Curly Flat from the Macedon Ranges. We met Jennifer who owns the vineyard at a tasting at the store and ended up staying at her house overnight for a special occasion launching the new Pinot Blanc of that year.

What a selection. There is plenty across the beer wine and spirits range to excite and entice. Well done on giving the consumer choice. Personally for me, craft beer. Little unknown breweries punching well above their weight. Noice!

Great place and selection, but the best with no doubt was the staff, absolutely passionate and always willing to help, just asking a few questions was able to suggest and offering us exactly what we were looking for. Totally recommended.

Amazing and knowledgeable staff. I'm biased but a top tier whisky/whiskey/bourbon selection and a connoisseur to teach all about it. Also have a great staff to teach about wines and their pet nats are amazing. Always go out of my way for their selection and chats. Can't recommend this location enough

Great range of different craft or independent beers some of which I haven't seen anywhere else. Wine selection is also good although you don't go in here for the price as most of the stock is quiet high end. Service is usually fairly laid back which is good if your in there for a bit of a hunt around. Highly recommend checking this place out if your into the Indie drinks scene

Excellent selection of wines and craft beers. Staff are always really helpful and knowledgeable with any questions or recommendations.

Worthwhile to pop in when they have a free tasting too. Great opportunity to try some of the smaller wineries or breweries that they stock.

Cute liquor store. Rather limited Whisky selection given the boutique feel the store has. But the nice chap a the counter took down my name and has said they will follow up with me on some harder to find bottles. So that was nice. Also, seemingly very impressive wine collection, though I know nothing about wine.

Awesome selection. Great service. It was difficult to pick because there were so many delicious beers to choose from. I think I'll be going back very soon!

I was stoked to see that Craft had opened up a 5 minute walk from home (on the way home from work, to boot). Excellent selection of craft beer, both local and imported. The wine range is limited in some varieties but all of excellent quality. The price is in the higher range due to great selective choices, so be prepared for that before you come. They also have a very good range of high end spirits, including Mezcal which I hadn't seen elsewhere in the area.

One of the best boutique bottle shops in Brisbane. You can easily find yourself browsing the craft beer section like a library. Plenty of pet nats and a great selection of wines and spirits. Definitely worth checking them out if you're after something funky

Since they’ve opened, it keeps getting better and BETTER!!! Possibly the best craft bottle shop (at least for beer) currently. Extensive local and overseas range, always with sprinkling of quirky breweries that I haven’t seen in Brisbane before (5 years/1300 different beers). Stouts, sours, pales and hops...all covered. Solid range of local, core range beers as well. 10% off when you buy 6 mixed singles.

Huge boutique wine and spirit selection also. That I’ll leave for someone more educated to describe. Regular tasting on Fridays and Saturdays. Staff always welcoming and keen for a chat.

Extremely knowledgeable team, all with a great attitude. Always up for a chat, and their range is outstanding. If your looking for something different than the standard oyster bay, get into craft. Highly recommend.

Great bottle-o. I go there for both wine and beer and they have a great selection for each. Really friendly staff who also help with wine when I'm looking for something different or new. The beer selection is always cha going and they have some great squealer and growler options
