I went to this book store not for buying books but to buy an opal card..magic card for payment in almost all kinds of transportations in sydney..if you want to explore sydney..uou should have this card..

Small shop at the arrivals area where I picked up an opal card for the public transportation system. They also have other things you would find in a convenience store.

A typical bookshop and convenient store at the airport located at the arrival hall of T1 International Terminal selling major newspapers and magazines as well as snacks and drinks. Credit and debit cards are accepted.

45 minutes late to open then rolled there eyes at me when I went inside to buy a magazine for my flight. Expensive with shocking customer service. Water was cold at least.

밤 12시가 되면 공항은 폐쇄하니 공항에서 waiting 하기에는 어렵다. 앉을만한 벤치가 적고 주변엔 노숙자들로 가득하다.

I mean...a high markup is understandable in these airport stores, but like 5 bucks for a small bottle of water? Sheesh man...

Staff not aware 📴 promotion and overcharging customers. When shown the sign they still pretended it did not apply. Very unscrupulous

I arrived at Sydney international air port on 14:00 , 14,04,2017 to have a Easter holiday in Sydney with my wife.
At this shop, I ordered two of 40 dollars Opal cards, and paid $100 dollars note, but the Indian lady staff passed me a $40 charged card ,a $20 charged card and $20 change. I could not notice it until I used card because charged amount not printed on the Opal card.
I believe definitely that the staff cheated me on purpose.
I worry about that she does it to numerous tourists habitually .

I asked the customer service assistant where the register was located, she yelled at me and said over there im busy packing the shelf, extremely rude person she was mid 50s Indian with glasses avoid her as its evident she doesn't like her job

On a recent trip overseas trip I bought a magazine at your outlet past immigration and near the boarding gate. My previous experience in buying books and magazines in this area is that they are GST free. On this occasion I was asked the pay the full price including GST. When I pointed this out to the shop assistant she removed the GST.

This morning, as I'm about to leave on another overseas flight, tried to buy some magazines at the same outlet and was again charged the full price including GST. When I pointed this out to the assistant she seemed puzzled and said "we are not a duty free store". So I left without buying.

Can you advise me whether you pay GST on goods sold at your outlet on the "boarding" side of immigration? And if so, when was the law changed?

Tired and jetlagged after a 14hr+ airplane ride, I purchase a drink before heading to the city. In a rush, I didn't realize the cashier had not given the correct change back until I looked at the change later. Beware.

Please just answer the phone...... Was keen to see if they had a book I wanted to purchase to take on holiday and wanted to buy before flying out. Didnt answer the phone. On so many attempts....... so not going to bother giving them my money.
