Minimalistic interior, just lights and white walls. Great view of the bay. Beepy things that let you know when your food is ready. Pet friendly, as they can seat animals outside on the deck. I ordered a Crumbed Squid Rings, tasted very nice. Can smell the ocean and raw fish, may be off-putting for some. Clean tables and comfortable chairs too

The fresh locally caught fish was amazing. The batter was thin and crispy and wasn't oily like some places. Chips were cooked to perfection.
They have plenty of vegetarian options.

Friendly staff with plenty of seating for customers. Great views of the lakes and the boats coming and going.

Wow! This place is exactly what Lakes was crying out for. Went in for a coffee with my wife and it was lovely. The staff were engaging and nice. While we sat, the staff called us over to look at the dolphins playing in the water. Incredible experience.

A couple of days later and I came across a post on a dim sim group about how good the dimmies are at this cafe. We got some takeaway and had them at the Airbnb. As a Dim Sim aficionado, let me tell you that these dimmies are up there with the best! I'm not sure if they make them there, but they're delicious. Worth the 4hr drive just for the dimmies I reckon.

Would be great if it had a liquor licence and we could enjoy a bevo, but I'm sure that'll come one day.

Guys, you have simply nailed it! Without a doubt the best fish and chips I’ve had in years. Stumbled across this gem by accident, and I’m glad we did. Every part of the meals we tried was just spot on! Calamari was fresh and perfectly seasoned, the batter on the flake was light, thin, crisp and cooked exactly as it should be! Even the coleslaw was crisp and dressed wonderfully! This brings me to the grilled Ling, I have no words other than thank you!

We visited on our recent trip to Lakes and it was so good! The venue is beautiful and nothing beats fresh local fish! Everything was on point - even the potato cakes were the best we’ve had and the batter on the gummy - light & crisp, I’m sure it must be a secret recipe And the fish was just perfectly poached on the inside.
Such reasonable prices for the freshest local fish - well worth the outing to sit on the water, watching the boats go by and enjoying the breeze.

Had a lovely dinner tonight, from the friendly welcome to the great views. Fish and chips were fresh and well cooked. Perfect crunchy chips. Definitely will return.

Relatively new seafood cafe right on the water with lakes views on three sides. Food was good too - one of the best potato cakes have tasted. Friendly service. Recommended.

Gorgeous cafe on the water. Staff were so friendly and helpful. We had the ling sandwich and seafood chowder and both were delicious. Beautiful atmosphere looking from the deck onto the water!

My wife and I had the Ling Fish Sandwich and the Seafood Chowder. They were both delicious. The service was fast and friendly. We’ll definitely be back!

We had the flat head tails with salad and chips. We added large chicken dim sim and potato cakes. We really enjoyed it. Sitting on the balcony in the sunshine watching all the bird life and boats.
The first thing we noticed were the prices had been reduced since our first visit when they opened. A very nice surprise. They also now use crockery and cutlery for their meals, and not the cardboard boxes and paper cups used previously. Much much-better. Good on you guys. We wish you every success. We'll definitely be back!!!

For the price there charging I expect great fish and chips.. they were busy..yes .. chips under done . Turn your vats up when busy.. fish needed more draining.. would have been a lot more enjoyable..then oily chips and fish..there was a member on serving that was more focussed on finding a person who ordered an extra fish . Bag it separately and move on in future..you stopped the whole kitchen for ten minutes and ruined following orders... attention to detail would have got a 5 star from me..
