Aurora Spa & Bathhouse

The Aurora Spa & Bathhouse emulates a spotlessly clean and luxurious European bathhouse experience like no other. As someone whom has tried multiple different bathhouses, magnesium pools etc. I’ve yet to experience one quite as beautiful, well preserved and elegant as this one. The pools are so clean and every single step of the experience is planned in a mindful and organic manner. The staff (yes, all of them) are incredibly attentive, they are all so informed about the treatments and it is obvious they enjoy what they do. Most importantly they are all happy, kind and conscious of their work. The magnesium salt pools and cold plunge therapy pools are truly amazing and simply a mindfulness exercise to behold. The ‘Glacial Mist’ room is incredible, as is the sauna and salt brick room. The design aesthetic is sublime also. Most gift stores are an afterthought, as are change rooms. But not at Aurora. Everything has a level of attention to detail that most bathhouses just don’t particular. Even the tea served throughout the experience is local and organic (and rejuvenating).
I want to earnestly thank the staff for a wonderful multiple days of relaxation and reset. A big congratulations to what you have all accomplished at Aurora. It is truly an institution.

It doesn’t get any better than this! From the facilities to the caring and attentive staff, this is the BEST bathhouse/spa we have visited.

They have the largest variety of baths, saunas and other treatments, with each one feeling even better than the last. The atmosphere was phenomenal. The music, the lighting, the acoustics - it all made us feel like we were transported to another world. It felt zen but also romantic.

Adriana and Hayley both ensured all of our needs were catered to and all of our questions were answered. They went above and beyond to provide us with an incredible and memorable experience. We have both left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

We will definitely be coming back. It’s an amazing place for anyone new to or loves bathhouses.

I had the pleasure of attending a day retreat at Aurora Spa and Bathhouse. From the moment you step inside the staff make you feel comfortable, relaxed and looked after. It’s a really special place. All the senses are covered with beautiful sounds, smells and experiences. The magnesium bath is so relaxing, and I loved the contrast of the saunas, the glacial mist chamber and the halotherapy room. The aromatherapy sensory showers are so relaxing and I was surprised at just how amazing I felt after walking through the cold plunge pool! Thank you Lyndall and all the staff I can’t wait to come back, I haven’t felt that relaxed in a long time.

I had a detox massage - it was the best treatment I’ve had except for when I visited Gwinganna. It starts with a salt rub and wrap while you have a hair mask treatment- then you have a shower and a cellulite machine treatment . Then finish with a beautiful massage with luxurious moisturizer- my skin feels like butter and I’m 57 !!! Highly recommend it 💯 thank you Larissa

This Bathhouse & Spa is truly one of a kind and needs to be experienced in order to understand just how amazing it is. The staff, the decor, bathhouse, spa rooms, relaxing lounge and bathrooms are nothing short of 5 stars. I spent the day here and it was ultimate bliss. The service was exceptional and the place, divine! Special thank you to Allana who performed my spa treatments and made sure I was very comfortable and relaxed. She was amazing! I will definitely be back with my partner. Thank you Aurora, for giving me this heavenly experience.

10/10 bathhouse experience, this is by far the best one I have done in Victoria! My husband and I are absolutely relaxed, it has so many options of different spas, including salt/ce rooms, highly recommend for an unforgettable experience!

I had the BEST Massage and express facial I've ever had by Alana! Such a beautiful place. From the minute you walk in the doors, very relaxing. If you're around the area or looking for somewhere close by to go and have a pamper!

We loved our bathhouse experience over the weekend. We were greeted and looked after in a lovely professional manner and the facilities are top notch.

Our favourites were the ice bath, reflexology pool and the salt room. I also loved the salt scrub before entering the pools. My skin feels amazing after 🙏

The only could of tips I would give is to have some kind of timer the bath guests can use to time yourself in the different pools, especially the ice bath (it's a technology free zone so you can't bring your own phone), as well as increasing the jets in some areas so you have the choice of more gentle jets and harder jets!

Yesterday I spent 3 hours under the sensitive and utterly professional and empathic care of Pat. My massage was intuitive, experienced and clearly demonstrated Pat’s extensive experience and training. This was easily the most perfect massage I have had! Thank you Pat and thank you Aurora Spa for recruiting such a fabulous staff member! I will be back!

We had the pleasure of visiting Aurora spa during our recent visit to Intercontinental Sorrento and it did not disappoint! The bathhouse is a must do! Shout out to Lea and Julie for making my husbands birthday a very special experience. Hope to see you again soon!

7 stars experience. Went with my partner for a relaxing night at the intercontinental Sorrento. Booked the bathing experience at the spa and enjoyed the salt scrub, bathing pools, salt room, sauna and warm beds. friendly team, amazing experience from the moment you walk in. highly recommended.

Spectacular.
I have been to many of our local hot spring related hot spots, and Aurora has dethroned my favourite. I was worried about the 90min time limit, and it did weigh on my mind, but it was actually fine. Next time I'll plan to hang out in the tea lounge afterwards and then go for a cocktail across the way at the very cool looking bar and that'll wrap the whole experience up even more.

Great experience from start to finish. Facilities are 5 star. Lovely Hayley at the reception desk made the day for us, she was so welcoming friendly & attentive.

Very classy retreat! All the staff were lovely to deal with.. we really loved all the different experiences and the self scrub was so nice.. left my skin feeling so fresh and new! To finish off our bathhouse experience we had the nutrient bowl at the end - omg so yummy!! Thankyou for a wonderful day. We will definitely be back 🥰

The most beautiful bathhouse ever. We could've spent all day there. I took my mum there for a Christmas present and we had the best time. We absolutely will be coming back

Honestly the best hot pool experience I've had. The only negative is a time limit for being there, but this stops over crowding that occurs in other businesses, so I'm all for it.
I haven't seen one person bring a phone, love that. People are generally quiet and respectful. The staff are lovely. It's attached to the best hotel I've been to as well.
Can't wait to try out some of their massages options one day
