Sugar Maple Japanese Restaurant & Cafe

This place is a true gem. I come here often and always have a wonderful experience. Staff is absolutely lovely and the food is seriously the best in so many areas. The curry is the best I've ever had by far. I also love the karaage chicken rice, and the burgers are delicious. Everything is always cooked perfectly. I could write a book describing how good every dish here is. The waffles are the most delicious indulgent waffles I've ever had. The drinks are so delicious and unique, they're homemade slushies are perfect when it's hot. Coffee is great too. They also sell baked goods, I personally love the banana walnut muffin. I've tried just about everything on the menu and the only thing that disappointed was the cheesy fries, but I'm very picky haha. Spring rolls are huge and once again delicious. The atmosphere is great too, comfy chairs and cute odecorations. I rarely write reviews but this place continues to impress and deserves the very best. The staff are so lovely and it's my favourite spot to have a drink or a nice lunch. I strongly recommend this place. Everyone I know loves it. Don't crowd it too much though, Ill be sad if I can't get any! I'll attach photos of the waffles here too, once again thank you for all the delicious food <3

After three years of coming to Sugar Maple they have the best breakfast hand down in Toowoomba and Highfields. Reasonable price great staff and amazing food

Absolutely amazed by their efficiency and friendly service. There is variety of options in the menu and all freshly made. The chef was willing to customize our orders as we are vegetarians. We ordered the veggie tempura shushi roll, it’s so yum and so fresh. Their waffle is flavorsome as well with a dash of ground cinnamon. Highly recommended overall!

Sugar maple is famous for their desserts, but their asian lunch menu is also really lovely. Their tonkatsu sauce on top of the karage and okonomiyaki, (savoury pancake), tastes homemade and so delicious. All the meals were quite fulling and had a decent price. There is plenty of parking available and seating options.

Food was delicious! Sushi was made fresh and bought out to us in record time. The staff were absolutely lovley and made us feel instantly welcome. Also the best chai latte ever!!

My family and I enjoyed dining in this afternoon. Hands down, the BEST Japanese pancake we’ve ever had. The fried udon, fried rice, pan fried pork dumplings and sushi were amazing. Shoutout to the friendly waitress and attention-to-detail boss lady 👏 we were so well looked after. Thank you!

Loved this place! So good to find some place interesting to come for a late afternoon coffee with my parents. The service was fabulous and the homemade muffins were delectable. My mother thought her coffee was very nice which is a huge compliment as she is very particular about her coffee!

I would protest to have this put I to every set of shops within 100km of me. The food is delicious and the customer service is delightful, with the best hospitality and bright cheery smiles matched with the best food I just cant get enough! Each meal was well worth the price, served hot and fresh with a variety of meals to choose from, the place also sells bubble teas and fruity drinks which all taste absolutely amazing! If i was rich and had in my house or down the street I would pick this place, its to die for!

Ordered some wraps and sandwiches for a family lunch get together takeaway. We were very impressed with service and quality of food. Very fresh and yummy.

Excellent food and wonderful service! This cafe holds a lot of great memories for me as it’s where my fiancée and I went on our first date! In all the years we’ve been coming to Sugar Maples they always deliverd on excellent food quality, value, and a friendly staff!

What an incredible experience! From the moment I walked in I was greeted by the bubbly hostess who ended making me an amazing bubble tea that tasted just as good as the excellent customer service. I was then served a plate of their famous Karaage which tasted like it should cost twice as much as I paid, great value for money. I finished the experience with a classic waffle that lived up to the name Sugar Maples. Overall 5 star experience for a three star price. Don’t miss this place if your in town.

Genuinely the best coffee in town. Staff are amazing and although we haven't eaten there yet everytime we see a dish come out of the kitchen it looks incredible!

As a picky eater this is amazing. The little chocolate filled panda biscuits they have for $1.50 ea, are just amazing i took almost all of them except one. The chocolate milkshakes are the bomb, and getting the fried chicken chips on the side with no other add ons is heaven if you combo it with the milkshake. 5 stars and 10/10 definitely would come here again and try a cinnamon roll. Sadly if your extremely picky about what you eat there isnt much options other than chips if your like me. But the most awesome thing about this is your options on where to sit. Most of them have a cushioned seat against the wall with normal chairs on the other side. They have lots of tables, im suprised they didnt have more customers when i came in, aside from the group of 3 teenagers sitting near the door we were partially alone. P.S the workers there are very lovely and when we went to leave they thanked us for coming and one of them even bowed. This is my new favourite restaurant.
