Armstrong Books

Loved the store full of boxes and boxes of books, books, books, books, books. Old, new, ancient treasures, antique - any and all subjects you can think of. I got a book on Confucius, Van Gogh and a novel for my next read. The shop is clean and stacked. Some books are even covered with plastic. Fully recommend for a lazy afternoon browse.

This place was amazing. Must see place for any book lover. My partner and I were in the store for over nearly 45 minutes and we just loved looking at all the series. Whole collections of book series. Best book store I've seen.

It's an Aladdin's Cave of books - a huge number, ranging all the way from antiquarian to modern with lots of treasures. You'll need to allow plenty of time it's so fascinating. We found a beautiful little painting amongst the other items in this great shop and the owner's daughter on site couldn't have been more helpful. A "must see" when in Lakes Entrance

If you are in Lakes Entrance Victoria Australia or in the Lakes Entrance area, Armstrong Books is a must visit for those looking for unique and experienced books. There is a real treasure trove of books for all ages and tastes. They even had books from my childhood memories, hard cover copies from the 70's of Dandy & Beano comic collection. Henry and staff have singles and collections available for your current favorite or your soon to be favorite authors. You will not be disappointed.

Wow this is a fantastic experience! Do yourself a favor and go exploring through this maze of books, we found a fantastic book, and we have a few more on our list to purchase, The the owner's daughter was fun and kind and made the experience special. Its so great that stores like this still exist.

Great bookstore. Huge variety with lots and lots of bargain books for those looking to roll the dice.

They have a lot of the classics and some absolute gold nuggets to be found. Dickens, Tolstoy, Dostoevsky, Solzhenitsyn, Orwell, Oscar Wilde, HG Wells, and many more.

Some books can be a bit pricy for second hand but absolutely worth a visit. I walked away with 8 books

I died and went to heaven. This store is unbelievable. If you are a bibliophile this is the place to go. I found books there that are a collector's delight. Staff were super friendly. Prices were not cheap ... but how do you put a price on love?

This book shop is excellent. It is not common to see such amount of sci-fi and fantasy books in a small town shop, often not even in a big city, they even have old forgotten pulp books. Their collection of Australian history related books is so nice and they have all sorts of interesting old artifacts to see and buy. The staff is very helpful and kind. I definetly want to visit again.

This is the best hideen gem in Lakes Entrance. You could never believe what you will find here.
Genuine rare, old books as well as some newer books. For all ages and all interests this book store will marvel you and you will lose track of time. There is also some antiques and local art at the store.
Dont leave without visiting at least once ❤

Spectacular second hand bookshop - literally a days worth of browsing in here for serious collectors and just plain old bibliophiles. Lovely staff and will definitely be coming back when next visiting from Melbourne.

Loved this little find. A great range of books and so much to look at in the store. Staff are super friendly and helpful. My daughters both left with a book and we will certainly be back next time we’re in Lakes.

My wife and I spent about an hour in this second hand bookshop today. We could have stayed longer!! Huge range of well kept second hand books and the woman who was working there was extremely helpful, kind and supportive. Thank you!
