Lakes Entrance Lookout

It’s an absolutely stunning place to witness with huge waves crashing over the rocks, lookout platforms and dozens of waterbirds including Australian Pelicans, Cormorants, Pacific Gulls, Eurasian Coots and more. I was also lucky enough to see a couple of dolphins diving out of the channel in front of me.

I didn’t have time to explore the entire Entrance but I’m keen to return here again. There are a few additional short walks you can do and some more historic landmarks to see including Relics Loop, Lady Harriet’s Barge and the Sand Transfer Station.

This is a great walk, we went to the Entrance via the inside track witch features bushland, birds and historic sites to the end and then returned via the beautiful 90 mile beach, a good leg workout.

A very scenic point for photographers to observe wildlife and nature. It is also the perfect place to take photos with friends and family.

We saw some seals, lots of crabs, swans with their babies at the start and sea birds. Very cool. Nice walk to get here, shaded by the trees. You can fill up your water bottles at the beginning of the walk near the cafe and there are long drop toilets at the end of the walk. The walk itself is easy, quite a few steps but nothing too hard.

The photos are a bit blurry but we saw some seals and dolphins on the other side of the entrance. The walk was nice through the little forest. We saw a lot of birds as well.

Relatively deserted beach - a nice walk to get there. There were seals. The sea was really rough and exciting to watch. Can recommend

A nice 2km walk to an empty beach and short relics walk with Australian fur seals chasing fish and pelicans near the shore

Try to come around 2:00pm, you can see dolphins push fishes around to feed bird and seals. I think dolphins must be doing this for some time.

We saw many Australian fur seals in the water! It was a surprising and wonderful experience on the walking track.

Wild, strong, and unforgettable

Startend von der Brücke ein entspannter Spaziergang im Schatten der Bäume. Es sind einige Treppen zu bewältigen. Am Lookout, wo sich Meer und See treffen war die Strömung sehr stark und voll mit Robben, Wasservögel und Delfinen.
Zu späterer Stunden konnte man unzählige Delfine etwas weiter raus im Meer sehen. Der Weg entlang am Strand ist ebenfalls möglich.
