Firstly, keep in mind this is food served from a van - not a fine dining experience. And it was the ONLY dinner time food option in Port Germein on my Tuesday visit. Now having said that, I had the best crumbed chicken schnitzel, chips and gravy I think I’ve ever had. Ate it at the picnic bench in front of the van with three chatty local blokes who had plenty of stories to tell and mulled over the big issues of the day (from whether the local post office had a busy day through to eligibility for the age pension). ‘Red’ the town canine was there too. You can grab your food and head down the really long jetty if you wish. This van now seems to be here 7 days a week.
