Great place to unwind and cool down after a long day on the trail. Perfect for a group. Comfy beds, friendly and very helpful host, breakfast provided, pool in a tank, secure bike lock up and tools, etc. highly recommend. Thank you so much.

Amazing stay for 2 nights for our out and back bike trip from Lowood to Yarraman. The beds were very comfy and we loved a dip in the plunge pool after a long day in the bike. Only a short stroll to the pub for dinner. Loved that the bikes are stored next to room.

Group of female cyclists stayed and had an AWESOME time here! The plunge pool was great followed by the best shower ever! So many little things that made our stay super comfortable.

Amazing hospitality in a great spot, perfect for the active adventurer. If you're after accomodation while exploring by bike, you can't go wrong with Rail Trail Refuge. Very comfortable beds (they're bunk beds but fancy ones!), washing machine, kitchen, breakfast, plunge pool and REALLLLL coffee machine makes this a perfect place to stay for all your rail trail or gravel adventures in the region.

A really delightful purpose built accommodation for rail trail users. Great rooms and bed, copious good hot water shower, additional thoughtful bit - like a bike-hand to help in any repairs or adjustment along with an assortment of tools and pump.
Great facilities - proper brewed coffee, breakfast supplied so you can get away early, great security for your bike and a host that will assist in any way possible.

This place is a real gem! If you're looking for comfortable accommodation along the rail trail, this newly-built bespoke bicycle bed and breakfast is the place for you. Bunk rooms are comfy and well-equipped with bike storage, hot shower, kitchen with coffee, tea & breakfast facilities, a fire pit, beanbags to relax after a day of cycling and even a water tank drop pool for those hot summer days. Located on a quiet street a couple of blocks from the Linville pub.

The Rail Trail Refuge is a true gem: Beautifully designed - a perfect mix between modern, comfortable ambience and nature style adventure refuge. Very clean, super comfortable beds, airy, light spaces. The real coffee machine is a bonus to go with the breakfast. Chevonne is a fantastic host, who likes to share her passion for cycling and the surroundings. Highly recommend. Will come here again anytime ! Thank you!

Hospitality exceeding our expectations!! Extremely welcoming hosts who went above and beyond. Our few days away to ride the rail trail were enhanced by our stay with its space for our bikes and charging availability, comfortable clean accommodation, coffee machine, yummy breakfast, plunge pool and fire pit. With the Linville pub a stone’s throw away in this warm, welcoming community we will be returning to our new favourite town and refuge very soon.

Was fortunate enough to have just spent 2 nights here. The beds were super comfortable after spending the day on the BVRT and the hot shower was most welcome. It was reassuring that our bikes were locked up safely so that we didn't have to worry about them. There were even a few bike tools available for a few minor adjustments on my bike.
John and Chevonne couldn't have been more welcoming and they made sure we had everything we needed. This was such a great find, I can't wait to go back. Strongly recommend that you give it a try, I am positive that you will love it as much as we did!

Stayed here the other night while riding the BVRT. I had a great nights sleep, comfy bed and dark room. A good breakfast of cereal, yoghurt, fruit, toast and coffee provided good fuel to start the ride. There were bike tools available,, thankfully not needed. The onsite owner, Chevonne has thought of everything you need on a cycle touring holiday.

We stayed 2 nights at the Rail Trail Refuge. It’s in a great location and just a short stroll to the Linville Pub for dinner. The accommodation is very well setup and the beds extremely comfortable. Our hosts John and Chevonne were so welcoming and they took the time to sit with us and tell us of the dozens of trails that were available locally of both short and long distances. I’ll be heading back soon. It’s a perfect base for exploring the rail trails.

We (mother and daughter) had the place to ourselves. It was a great spot- loved the towels, breakfast, swimming tank (even in winter), bike storage. Would definitely stay again. Our host was very friendly.

the bed is so comfy and relaxing.
the bed side louvered window, made of wonderful wood, adds a nice touch in the morning to see beautiful sunshine or (a relaxing rain so you can sleep in!)
the included breakfast and espresso (or latte) just tops it up.
finally the hospitality of the host is superb!

Rail Trail Refuge is a really thoughtfully set out venue - especially for cyclists. Not only is it really functional, it looks classy too. John and Chevonne are great hosts and the continental breakfast included properly good cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt and real coffee. All this a a very affordable price. Highly recommended.

Our group of four ladies stayed the night after riding from Yarraman to Linville. Beautiful, modern, clean, comfortable and friendly. Great bike racks and an ebike power point. It exceeded our expectations. The tank tub was refreshing. We strolled to the Linville pub for dinner. The breakfast was perfect for cyclists and the in-house espresso machine a treat. This place lifts the bar for rail trail stays. We'll be back!
