Cedarwood Apartments

The star rating for this apartment was something I thought a lot about. There were a few flaws which might bring it down, but it was a good experience so I'll stick with 5 stars. We stayed in apartment 2 and it was surprisingly spacious. Both bedrooms were very nice, the kitchen was small but had everything and the living room was also nice.

The main criticism is the second bathroom which was extremely small and cramped. The sink was the size of a tissue box so you would always spill water on yourself when trying to wash your hands, and the lock to the door made no sense because you'd have to claw it open after locking it.

The grill outside was also very rusted and moldy and we didn't wanna use it cause it looked quite yucky.

The living room had a Wii which was the highlight of the apartment. It brought back a lot of nostalgia and was very fun to use. A lot of the batteries had spilt which destroyed most of the remotes, but it was still a lot of fun to use.

The beds were comfy and the heating was nice. The hot chocolate and coffee that we got in the mornings was also very tasty.

Cedarwood apartments is definitely a very nice place to stay!

We had a delightful weekend in Apartment 5 during summer. The manager was helpful and welcoming. Our studio room was clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything we could possibly need. Views from the balcony were spectacular - the perfect place to enjoy the sun set over the highplains.

We stayed in Apartment 5 for five nights at the end of August. The apartment was comfy, warm and well-furnished, the bed was lovely, and the staff that we met were all very hospitable and helpful. I'd be happy to stay here again. The only drawback was the scanty amount of crockery in the kitchen: 2 mugs, 2 plates, 2 bowls. It would have been nice to share a cuppa in our apartment with family members that we were at Falls with, but that could not be done. Maybe next time!

Our stay in room 26 was marked by clean and comfortable accommodations, making it feel like a true home away from home. We loved staying at Cedarwood Apartments! It was perfect for our getaway in the snow & had everything we needed. It’s in a great location with spectacular views, close to the lifts, restaurants & everything in town, plus a fab barista coffee shop at reception.

The apartment was very well equipped, sparkling clean, has beautiful views & a lovely large comfortable bed. Narelle & her team are friendly, very helpful & made sure we had the best time away!

We stayed in studio apartment 11a for 5 nights this August. The apartment, although quite cosy, was practical with a microwave, toaster, coffee machine etc and a BBQ on the balcony.
One complaint - the heater has no on/off or temperature controls. We had to unplug it from behind the fridge. Room was way too stuffy overnight with it on.
If staying in this apartment, pack lightly as there is very little storage space. Tiny bathroom with no shelves for toiletries.
All in all, good value for money and we would be happy to stay in this room next time.
Overall - Cedarwood Apartments offers great drying room facilities and easy equipment storage access. Straight out onto the Aquaduct Trail behind the building gets you on the way to most parts of Falls Creek. Would be fantastic when full snow cover allows ski in/ski out. We missed that this season.
Narelle and staff were friendly and helpful at all times. Looking forward to a return visit.

We had a lovely stay in Apartment 19 August 12-20. Location is great (even with minimal snow this year) and everything was easy. Apartment has been beautifully renovated recently and is well-appointed.

I stayed in the studio apartment 7 for 2 nights. It is a very small studio but it has very large storages, a basic kitchenette to reheat instant or take away food, and the shower is always hot. The room temperature was perfect, adjustable to your desire with plenty of warmth. The view through the large windows was beautiful. Narelle, the property manager, is a real gem. From day one upon first enquiry she has been the most helpful, giving plenty advice regarding Falls Creek, accommodating changes, and once in the apartment, being present in no time when a light bulb went off.

We stayed in apartment 26 and it was perfect for our family of 5. The layout is very clever ensuring you can comfortably sleep a large family but not cramping the space and it's beautifully furnished. The location of the lodge is fantastic, easy access to the ski lifts and a great restaurant/bar straight across the road. The lodge has a communal drying room for boots and our apartment has a great drying room for all the rest of our gear. It was the perfect base for our holiday, We will definitely be back!

We had the pleasure of staying in Apartment 26 on the ground floor which has been recently renovated and styled just right for our weekend in the snow. It has everything you need from an awesome coffee machine to a washing machine and 2 bathrooms. We stayed with another family and we all fit comfortably. It's right across the road to a newly renovated restaurant and close to the village shuttle. Can't wait to stay there again next year, highly recommend!

We stayed in Apartment 20, the view from the balcony and bedrooms is amazing, especially to watch the fire works! The apartment is very cosy. It was great being able to ski in and out of the apartment!

we stayed in unit 20, room is recently renovated and in very good condition. the view is amazing, grandma could wave hello to kids sliding down one certain trail.

Skii in and out is possible via a short blue trail 🎿⛷. Very convenient once settled in

We stayed in apartment 16 at Cedarwood and it was perfect! The room was beautifully renovated, clean, comfortable and warm. We stayed here very comfortably with 6 adults. The kitchen was clean and spacious which meant we ended up cooking most nights and meeting back at the apartment for lunch. The ski in/ski out is perfect and having central snowsports located in the same building for equipment hire made everything super easy. Would absolutely stay here again. Everything was well organised.

We had an amazing stay in Apartment 26. The layout of the apartment was perfect for our family of 5, it was comfortable, and spacious - such a luxury for on mountain accommodation.
Apartment 26 is on the ground floor so we had ski in/ski out access, and the drying room inside the entrance to the apartment made the whole experience skiing with kids so much easier as there was a dedicated place to store all their clothes, helmets and gloves etc away from the main living area.
Netflix made afternoons with tired kids easy, and the coffee machine made mornings easier for Mum and Dad :)
I would highly recommend Apartment 26, we will definitely be back!

Price is reasonable, the staff at the reception is extremely nice and helpful. I have stayed apartment 17, the lay out is perfect for a family of 4. Lots of kids dvds to entertain the kids. Great experiences we have up at falls creek through out our trip. Ski in ski out easily to home base to catch the lift to cloud 9.

These apartments were one of those recommended by the organisers of the Alpine Challenge and we chose to stay in Apartment 25 at Cedarwood. It was perfect for us and our adult son running in the challenge. 2 king bed rooms 2 ensuites. Lounge and kitchen had everything you would need. Spacious modern apartment with separate entry. Narelle is lovely, such a great host and super informative. We would love to return in ski season and highly recommend.

We stayed in Apartment 25, we were impressed with the space the apartment offered. Two bedrooms and the children had 2 single beds with their own ensuite the size of a bathroom. Well fit out kitchen, lounge was cosy and loved the windows along the northern views. Balcony was a bonus. Highly recommend and Narelle gave us plenty of information at check in which made our stay seamless.

This was our 6th year staying at the Cedarwood Apts. This year we stayed in Apt15. It’s been renovated recently and it looks way better now. Its a good looking apartment in the corner with amazing views. The only thing we didn’t like were the chairs in the kitchen. Although they looked good, they were quite uncomfortable. Otherwise, the apartment was quite clean and cosy. Narelle was amazing, as usuall!! Thanks for making us feel welcome! Lia

We stayed in apartment 27 with another family and I highly recommend. It is a massive apartment. We had 4 adults and 5 kids. The apartment was fantastic and worked really well for two families. Plenty of room for everyone and well very well equiped.
The seperate entrance is really handy and means you don't need to come and go through reception. The drying area at the entrance worked really well and we had no issues with things drying.

Due to some lucky timing, we had to inure the absolute hardship of being stuck at Falls during Geelong's lockdown last year :)

After all the lockdowns we endured last year everyone knows if your going to be stuck in an apartment (with those you once loved) the most important thing is space, space, space.

Apartment 17 was amazing, there was a loft with the bedroom (great space for the kids to escape to), gigantic lounge and a full kitchen (with dining table). You also get a view of the back of the lodge and get to enjoy a beverage whilst watching the beginners try to do the last run of the day on sore legs. Free entertainment.

We have been staying at Cedarwood for 10+ years have yet to be disappointed. The welcoming staff make it feel like a second home to us.
