The Lanterns - Coffee, Food, Provisions

Wow! A new and much needed addition on the road to Port Arthur, with The Lanterns at Dunalley.
Simple and comfortable decor, plenty of parking and close public toilets make this a must stop location on this often travelled route to the south coast.
Really great and innovative food, good coffee and engaging people. Add to all of that is a great range of organic and locally made provisions for the travellers.

We were on the way back from the 3 Capes Track and were looking for good coffee and a tasty snack on the way between Port Arthur and Hobart. Found the perfect place for just that in the recently opened The Lanterns. A great find!

Cute little coffee shop! They have a gluten free vegan apple cake that's more like a pudding, but still delicious! A nice place to stop on the way to Port Arthur.

Opened Feb2024 next to the bakery. Excellent food and service. Coffee was so good I drank some before the photo was taken ruining the coffee art.

This is such a lovely cafe. Friendly staff, the barista really took pride in his craft and the coffee was delicious. The food is very yummy and the giftware and other sauces, jams, food items for sale are all very special. So pleased we stopped here on our way to Port Arthur this morning.

Came to this lovely cafe for breakfast before heading to Hobart Airport, the food and coffee was AMAZING!!!! Honestly one of the best breakfasts we have had. The produce is such excellent quality. The staff were very lovely too. I wish this cafe was in QLD where I live. Thank you!!!! We will be back when we come back to Tassie for our next holiday.

Had great coffees and a light breakfast here. The staff were friendly and were diligently making baked goods and artisan sandwiches. Great stop on the way to the Tasman peninsula or detour if heading up the East Coast.

Stopped off here on the drive from Hobart to Port Arthur. It is well worth the stop, the service & food & coffee are all fantastic. There is a lovely little deli shop, and the bathroom is also pristine (a rare find!).

Came here to shelter from the elements after a cold weekend camping. Such a lovely atmosphere, amazing drinks selection, and most of all, warm and welcoming staff. An unexpected gem!

Wow, really good vegetarian lunch & coffee here in Dunally! The staff was super friendly and the place has a very nice vibe. I recommend planning a stop here.
