I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Bangor Shed in December 2023 & it is an absolutely stunning venue. The property is massive & has so many incredible spots for photos, it is truly a visual masterpiece. The ceremony location down hill from the shed is accessed via a short stroll through the vines, and then adjacent to that location is the perfect field for wedding party photos. The views are spectacular over the bay & at sunset you can stand atop a hill overlooking the water for the most stunning golden hour photos. I would love to come back to photograph another wedding at this amazing venue!

Had a delicious wine tasting of local Bangor wines, with Kate serving us & sharing lots of interesting history about the property, connections to geography, and ownership history. Fantastic views, local award winning wines, the food was amazing, live music just topped it off! Highly recommended!

A beautiful winery that we happened to chanced upon as we were driving through. Next to the tasting wine is the winery restaurant. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. There’s even a outdoor sandpit area for the kids.
My husband and I had the reserve wine tasting and it was good. Even bought a bottle of their Pinot to go. The federation chocolates they recommended were good. Bought a couple of it too.

I had a tasting at this gorgeous cellar door and restaurant on Saturday 9/3. Such lovely informative and friendly staff! They had loads of local knowledge and gosh I had fun. It was such a pleasure I booked us in for lunch Sunday.
We arrived and Rod had a tasting and learnt all about the vineyard history, wines and how everything is done. Relaxed, friendly, interesting and more!
Then lunch with a view! Spectacular!
We shared warm olives, Turkish bread, lamb skewers and the warm octopus salad. I can’t just recommend one of them because they were all fantastic! Can’t wait to return next year. They seriously give our Sydney restaurants more than a run for there money at a reasonable price.
Thank you so very much!
In the notes they ask what they could improve upon - as there was nothing I suggested they let me move in with my van (great for me but not a great improvement for them). Go and enjoy 🥂

Casual fine dining and wine tasting in a sleek, modern shed in stunning surroundings. The oysters were a treat, especially the au naturel, nam jim and ponzu flavoured varieties. Had the orecchiette with broccolini and kale pesto, fish and chips, and the burger, all very good. Dessert was an apple cake and a chocolate mousse tart, both stars. The staff at the wine tasting counter were friendly and enthusiastic about their produce and their very enviable corner of the world.

Incredible wine and food.
Ridiculously fresh oysters.
Beautiful setting.
Ample information about the history of the land and property.
A little bit pricey, but absolutely worth it.

Bangor was a very pleasant surprise. When we arrived late lunchtime, a notice informed us that the kitchen was closing early for a private function. This was not a problem. The lovely Kate welcomed and provided excellent advice and information, facilitating our lunch order so that we moved smoothly from tasting to lunch without causing problems. The wines and food were excellent combined with beautiful view. A most enjoyable experience.

From the moment you walk through the door you feel welcome. The wine tasting was such a fun experience. The sommelier was engaging and shared the history of the vineyard in between samples. Lunch on the patio!! The food was delicious the menu extensive. The views and atmosphere made for a fabulous experience
Such a different vibe from the other vineyards in Tasmania . If you can only visit one. This is it.

We visited Bangor Vineyard as part of a cruise ship tour and it was wonderful. The wine was delicious and we learned a lot from our guides/owners of the vineyard. We ended up bringing some bottles back with us and have enjoyed them since then as well!

Great winery with an equally great restaurant. You can dine inside (bookings highly recommended) or dine outside on the terrace or the lawns. Kit and pet friendly (if you are into that sort of stuff)
Food is packed full of flavours and the staff are friendly and helpful. We eat here at least twice a year and have never been let don b the quality of the food, staff and environment

A stunning setting among the vines with beautiful views. Apart from the wine cellar side, which is a pleasure to take time to listen and partake of the Bangor wines, the menu is one that you would want to come back and taste it all. The lovely staff make you feel welcome .

We did the black wine tasting with Greg and it was amazing. A really fun experience with delicious wines and nibbles. Some of our group don’t drink so sat nearby and had some food which was also fantastic!

Beautiful and informative experience at Bangor Vineyard! We stopped in for a coffee by chance not knowing what was in store for us! We did a chocolate and wine tasting for $45 per/p and wow it did not disappoint! Lovely Greg was our expert sommelier and historian who told stories of old Tasmania and each wine’s origin story! Very enjoyable day with beautiful views of the vineyards! Go do it!!

Bangor Wineyard is more than just a winery, it's a family run property and sheep farming. They were really down to earth people. The winery itself was lovely, the staff knew what they were doing and had great memories. The food was to die for. A little expensive, but if you want quality, you have to pay for it. It was a lovely place to waste a afternoon, sipping wine and looking out over the grape vines and water.

Great spot for fresh locally sourced oysters and other dishes plus a range of award winning wines. If that's not enough, the casual ambience, small deli and surprisingly good views from indoor, terrace and picnic area should be enough to make you stop. Perfect ending to a day at Port Arthur.
