Ocean in the mouth! Sea flavour is so rich & intense but unfortunately some people do not like raw seafood which are the most original. Premium oysters from the pristine water are hygiene enough to be consumed straight away safely.
The best & cheapest place to buy the freshest oysters on the way to Eaglehawk Neck, the World Heritage listed Port Arthur & Tasman Natuonal Park/ Island Cruise. Slow growing Tassie Gold are rarely produced by other oysters farmers so this was a great discovery by following the signs to turn from Arthur Hwy to quiet Bay Road. It was actually shut in the early morning but fortunately the nice owner was around the area. Unlike that one near Hobart Airport, customers here can finish the takeaway oysters on spot for the same price.
All other restaurants sell oysters around double up to triple up.

Got a dozen of premium gold and pacific oysters each. Yum, very tasty, creamy oysters, had lots of variety too. Great value. Waiter was very friendly. Doesn’t top Lease 65 but is number 2 on my list. Definitely recommend.

The shop opening hour is until 3pm but the lady was still around when I can here late and she is very kind and patiently explaining to me the different types of oysters, the premium, tassy gold etc..
Of course the oysters are fresh!!! What makes me very happy to have visited this farm is just the lady's kindness to layby visitor like me ❤ 😊 I had just the normal oysters coz i won't be able to tell difference but if you're an oyster enthusiast, definitely try the Tassy Gold that's not available just anywhere or the Angasi!

A wee bit late, but came here last Tuesday for a dozen fresh oysters to take away ($16 for a dozen is amazing!!).... I looked at them, and looked.... my husband sat me down and said 'I know you want them, we can buy more...'.... so I stayed and ate them.... 3 dozen eaten later.... I ended up still buying another dozen to take back... wonderful job guys!!! And the guy that spoke to us who's been doing it forever- thank you! You were wonderful to talk too.

Returning with a group of friends for the second time was an absolute joy. The fresh, reasonably priced oysters were a delightful treat that I can't help but recommend to everyone.

Tassie gold oysters are a standout and only available in Tasmania. Fresh, favourful and creamy. Pacific oysters are good as well. Top notch. We stopped by both ways to/from Port Arthur.

Today we dropped by this oyster shop and was greeted by a friendly man who told us the different types of oysters they had.
They were all very fresh and great value for money. We bought dozen gold oysters and was extremely fresh, yummy and juicy. In fact they were so nice that we went for seconds the moment we finished. Highly recommend anyone who is passing to try the oysters.

This came highly recommended and I was not disappointed.

The gentleman behind the counter recommended the Tassie Gold and he was right, most delicious plump juicy tasty oysters I ever had.

Ate half a dozen, then went back for another half dozen. So, so good!

And very cheap too! Only $15 a dozen for the standard oysters. Tassie Gold is $22 per dozen.

Super fresh Tasmanian Gold oysters, with delightful service.

This is 1 of only 2 farms that grow Tasmanian Gold oysters, according to the super helpful woman working at the store. The other farm is a bigger detour from the main road and costs 50% more so if you’re in the area and love oysters it’s a very worthwhile stop.

Nice fresh oysters. Good stop along the way from Hobart to port Arthur. We took away and are at port Arthur. The owner was nice enough to cut some lemon for us.

Very fresh and quite different to the bruny island oysters. There were a number of customers when we went, and it seems like the regular sized oysters are the way to go.

Delicious oysters. One dozen Tassie Gold, one dozen Pacific Gold, plus a bottle of Jansz bubbly—the main ingredients of our last night on our own in Tasmania. Perfect.

Ok, if you’re a lover of Oysters, do yourself a favour and head down here. Also, unlike a lot of other places, they are open early in the week.

Our favourites are the Tasmanian golds, so fresh and creamy. You can see that the shells are a gold colour in the pictures attached.

We ordered their mixed selection and then just a tray of the golds.

They have a small eating area, but we just ate them in the car.

They also fresh lemon and a small amounts of other condiment choices. But these are so fresh I think it’s a crime.

Hope you enjoy them as much as we loved them.

These were hands down some of the best oysters I have ever had. The lady who looked after us was excellent and knowledgeable about the oysters and the area!
Would definitely come back here again!
