We did the amazing Labillardiere Peninsula Walk which is one of Tasmania’s 60 great short walks. It took us 5 hours. The terrain was very diverse from wide tracks to narrow tracks and through low bushes and onto sandy beaches and even rocky beaches. The views were incredible and well worth the effort- a highly recommended hike.

Nice place for day out.. but I think 1 day is not enough to admire the beauty of this island.. the only way to get there is through a ferry but you will enjoy every bit of it if you are a nature lover.. the drive around the island are awesome

Lovely to place to visit when your on bruny Island. Only take about an 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from the ferry terminal.
Make sure you pay your pass fees before you enter the park.

Great trail running/hiking on Labillardiere track to secluded white sand beaches. Tracks are a bit technical in areas and not super maintained unlike freycinet. Some long grass in areas, so prepare for snakes and rolled ankles (like me, ouch) if your going quickly.

We did the Fluted Cape and Grassy point walk. Took 2.5 hrs as suggested. Incredible views of Penguin Island and the cliffs. Amazing on a clear day like we had. Could see over to Adventure bay and The Neck beach.

The Jetty beach camp site is excellent. Well placed and sheltered sites, two pit toilets. Bring your own water and wood. The nearby beach has a gentle slope and is safe for swimming.Great place for birdwatchers.

Good views, take the lighthouse tour. The drive through the forest is splendid. Be self contained , there is a department store in the town which will be ideal to refill your camping cooking gear. Carry drinking water. The lighthouse tour cost ten dollars per person. Check the timings in advance as there is preference for tourists arriving in groups. The tour takes 30min.... It’s quite windy out there so carry a windcheeter..

Such a beautiful sunny beach for such a cold place!
Driving to the beach was fairly easy in a rav4, with a couple of sandy patches giving no trouble.
Camping is available.

Amazing place to explore. I really wish that we had given ourselves at least 2 days for our little adventure. We will definitely be coming back for more.

In the wild Winter winds or balmy Summer days, it is beautiful, especially the lighthouse at dusk (gates close before but tours still allowed in)

It is one of the most stunning and iconic places in Tasmania. Do stop by the cheese factory, Oyester farm and chocolate factory.

How wonderful is this stop on the island it’s a bit of a walk up to the light house from the carpark, there’s toilets there as well and the views from here are just one of a kind.

The last time I drove through Lockleys Rd and Staffords Rd with a 4x4 it was epic. This time I chose C629 Coolangatta Rd as I had a friend drive a FWD sedan behind me. Thus it was an easy access to that breathtaking rainforest. We pretty enjoyed the trip.
