Mavista Picnic Area & Walking Track

Great peaceful hike and is super easy.

You spend less that an hour walking in and out, enjoying the view and nature of this amazing rain forest along the way.

Cool shady but muddy track. Wear well covered hiking boots. Didn't see any waterfall, just a gushing stream. Lots of ferns and wild toadstools and mushrooms. Generally aan easy track but ground can be covered by large roots.

Thoroughly enjoyed this easy bush walk through the lush temperate rainforest. It was also a pleasant break from the strong winds! So much flora and fauna to see, just beautiful.

Have been there on Feb 2020. Enjoyed this easy but beautiful track that leads to Waterfall Creek State Reserve. Love this kind of track with ferns and moss covering the trees and stones. My favourite place in Bruny Island. Recall the time wandering in tropical jungle of Vietnam. A bit slippery and wet but worthy visit. For someone who may mind and need to prepare, I a leeche there 😌

Lovely and refreshing walk in the forest. Being in nature is so serene, beautiful and refreshing. Come here as part of the day tour to Hastings cave, Tahune airwalk tour.

Many people think this is just an easy bush walk.

No way!! This was one of the hardest real adventures in my life. Don't try after rain because you might get seriously injured.
Having said that, it was one of the most enjoyable exercises too!

I'm sure many of the visitors just experienced the superficial part, which is an easy nice short bush walk but you can push yourself really hard and try to go beyond your maximum physical capability if you decide to go to the real adventure.

However, just be careful and be prepared 👍

This place is so green and lush. It feels like you're walking back in time. Could spend hours wandering along the track.

The walking track follows a creek with beautiful tree ferns. The picnic area has a couple of tables and fireplaces. No cooking plates and no toilet

Stunning forest walk, feels very energising and rejuvenating whilst walking in this calm and cool forest.
