Very friendly people I got a Christmas mouse the guy was very respectful

I’ve been coming to this news agency for many, many years now. I’ve never had any problems with this store at all. The staff who work here have been extremely helpful to me over the years. I would definitely recommend this store to other people.

They sure know how to pack a lot of stuff in to this store. You can get the paper here, but if you are too early the supermarket is open earlier. Standard magazines, trinkets, emergency last minute gifts and a reasonable range of stationery for that ladt minute purchase. The cards are ok and plenty of selection. It does need careful navigation as there isn’t much room to move as it is packed to the gunnels.

Would give a zero rating if I could, like many others I was berated by the man behind the counter for having a valid mask exemption, and my previous reviews on this have disappeared. I informed the man he was in breach of the disability discrimination act, only to have him scream in my face further to get out of his store. Horrendous customer service and ridiculously high prices anyway

Very rude owner. I wasn’t wearing a mask (when they were mandatory) and entered the store. Happy to disclose the reason why if asked and also happy to leave the store if asked as well. I was very embarrassed when he yelled from across the store over other customers… I was asked where my mask was, I told him I’m happy to show him an exemption letter- he wasn’t interested in this at all and proceeded to yell over the man he was serving at the register for me to get out now.

I sent a follow up email expressing my experience with no response. I’m very lucky that I work in health care and understand the huge gap in education when it comes to mask wearing.

Will never be going there again even though I’ve been going there for several years.

Shocking experience today with the staff here. I am, or was a regular customer after today. I regularly come in to purchase candles from their store. The one I want is usually there, in a box ready to buy, no issues. About a month ago I was in there and the candle I wanted was not available, only the display candle was available. The lady acknowledged this and allowed me to buy the candle half price, as I would expect for a display candle and the fact they had no boxed candle in stock for me.
Today, I was in to purchase a candle as a gift for my sister in law. Again, the particular one I wanted was not in stock and only the display candle was available. I asked if they could do anything on the price when I was told, no today. I tried explaining that a display candle has been held and smelled by numerous people and is not worth full price and they did it for me before no problem. They said that everything has been held and touched in here and I can’t get it half price just because it doesn’t suit me! I was in so much shock, they called me rude, when I am the paying customer and expect them as the retailers to meet me half way at least!
Well done guys, instead of me being able to purchase the candle half price (plus a card and other things I was going to buy) you lost a sale and a very regular customer. Hot tip, get more stock in for your customer and stop trying to sell your display candles and getting defensive!!! Disgusted at your approach!

I am fully vaccinated & I am mask exempt & I rarely go out these days.

I walked in with my daughter who was wearing a mask & also is vaccinated

The owner of the shop asked me to leave.

“ you have to leave my shop”

I said “ oh I’m sorry I’m fully vaccinated & I have a mask exemption”

“ I don’t care it’s my private property get out”

This is appalling behaviour by a business owner & I am so devastated that I have been treated this way.

I will continue to support local businesses who understand my situation.

News Express Sunbury I have bought many times from your store & will not be supporting you in the future.

Was judged by workers as I was in a wheel chair, Spoken down to multiple times because of disability issues and final straw was Old guy is ignorant and doesn't understand servre medical issues. I have medical exemption due to servre heart issues but "Didn't care" If you have a legitimate medical exemption, Don't bother going to this place or though was never told to wear mask any other time.

doesn’t give the correct change back and lies lost money

Rude and uninviting. No help from staff when asked.
Really sad about my experience. 😢
